Promised I would finish this review, so here we go. First off, get here early, we got there just before the rush and were... seated immediately, when we left there was a significant crowd waiting. Love the menu, so much good Cajun choices. We startedwith the Fried Pickles ( I know not Cajun), they were good, crispy, not greasy, nicely seasoned. For our meals, I had the RouxTrio (Gumbo, Red Beans, Crawfish Etouffee), it was superb, all three cups were delicious. If I were to say any negative here, Iwould say, the portions were small for the price. My wife had a boil the "tex" way, everything was prepared nicely it was VERYspicy, almost too much for her. Again, looking back, it seems like not very much for the significant price tag (the picturedplate was over $40). Finally, we shared the Butter Cake with Rum Sauce. It was very tasty, as well. We will go here again, and I would recommend it for all. Read more

Overall the food and service was great. It was a little pricy I didn't expect too spend $100 but I wasn't upset with the quality... of food. The boil good but my crayfish were a little on the dry side, the dry rub they put on it was a bit excessive and saltybut not too bad. The shrimp was pricey at 14.99/lb but were all a good size. Will be coming back but probably just myself and mywife. Read more

Stopped by here for lunch and my wife and I were seated right away. Our waitress, Danielle, greeted us right away and explained... the menu to us since it was our first time eating here. She is very professional and on top of her game. My wife and I orderedthe crawfish boil, 5lb for $25. Very delicious and very big, definitely had to loosen the belt. Needless to say, we willdefinitely be back for the great customer service and the delicious food. Read more

Wow! The service was AMAZING! Toby knows how to take care of guests! My South Texas Fire Po' Boy was very tasty. That bread roll... was King. The shoestring fries were wonderful and stayed crispy and delicious to the very last one. My South TX Jazz vodkacocktail was balanced and flavorful. Really nice pla e to dine!! Read more

Man..... this place is GOOOOOOD! The shrimp 'n grits was amazing! Oddly enough, the chicken fingers plate was the family hit... though. The chicken has this delicious hot sauce marinade that does not make is spicy but more tenderizes along with a pinkcoloring. Between the great service and the food, we will be return customers for sure. One thing to note for parents: theservings of adult meals are HUGE! This is actually why the price is a bit high, so consider sharing plates or just letting yourkids have their own kids meal. Our chicken tender plate fed three of us, no kidding! Man it was good! One of our friends highly recommended going here, and they are now dead to us . I would not recommend going here. If you have... literally any other place to go then go there. For a place supposedly a Texas, Louisiana mix or whatever it seems that they arelacking seasonings from either state. The shrimp fried oysters catfish french fries and fried pickles all lack seasoning. Therewas a huge cockroach back by the kitchen area and six or seven wait staff played with it for a minute before letting it scuttleaway. The staff also likes to just hang out by the kitchen, which is a little bit of a distraction when you're sitting righthere. The tartar sauce is yellow on the top but once you dig past that it appears to be fairly white underneath which tells methat it's been sitting out for quite a while. I'm not going to lie, I did dip a few french fries into it so hopefully I don'tget too many bouts of "indigestion". According to my husband, who's a pretty good judge of such things, he says that all oftheir seasoning goes into their bacon. It was overseasoned to the point where it made him grimace. The waitress says that it isthe best thing on their menu, if that gives you any indicator. To end this review on an upside though and support, it's onestar versus zero star, my son reports that the men's restroom was fairly clean, and our waitress, Kale, was a sweet heart. Read more

Sadly, not the greatest experience. Our server Kate was nice enough to let us know of the long wait time on food, we were quoted... 30 minutes, no big deal we were excited to try this place. We had the empandas appetizer, they were good but then we waited anhour for our food. I wish I could say it was worth the wait. My husband's plate, the Monday special was dirty. I ordered theshrimp and grits, both were overdone. The most disappointing was how long it took to get my son's fried shrimp, just over anhour. The manager Nicole was very apologetic and comped our ticker which was probably the only redeeming quality of the wholevisit. We will let them work out their obvious issues before trying again. Kudos to Kate and Nicole for trying to make the bestof a bad situation. Read more

Long wait but once inside lots of tables. The music was great!!! They cleaned the tables and swept the floors. The fried food... came out fast. The shrimp and grits took 15 min more. I wished all the food came out together. There was no flavor. The food wassemi spicy. Will definitely try again but bring my own seasoning. The food looks soo much better than it tastes. Read more
