Chuy's has a super cute ambiance! It has a certain eclectic appeal to it, I especially loved all the framed pictures of people's... pets. We sat in the bar, it was empty but the tables were dirty. I didn't like that part of it. But the bartender/waitress wassuper nice! I ordered a Mexican martini and mentioned I probably wouldn't finish it, so she brought a shaker out and 2 fullydressed martini glasses for my husband and I to share!! Visited this location early Sunday morning, so no wait and prompt service. Ordered queso since I had just seen it made Top 10... quesos in SA, and it was good... not great, but it grows on you the more you have. The chips are almost too thin and lightthough, as some were breaking in the queso. I also ordered a tortilla soup and a HUGE PET PEEVE of mine is the server bringingsoup out WITH THE MEAL!!!! ???? But sure enough, after waiting a while I asked waitress about the soup and that I would like itBEFORE the meal, she stated "let me go ask the cooks about it" and returns with it, only to bring out all the food 2 minuteslater...??????? I do have to say, the soup was extra hot which I requested, and this really does LOOK like it could be the besttortilla soup around with big chunks of chicken, avocado and cheese, BUT, and this is a yuge BUT, the broth is flavorless....plain jane bland chicken broth poured over it...NO BUENO. Throw in a can of fireroasted tomatoes or something...but pleasework on that broth! All other dishes were great! Kids plates are a great value. Their quesadillas (2) were huge and stuffed andthey even get a side, drink and choice of push-pop or ice cream. My chicka-Boom enchiladas were good and wife's steak burritowas tasty. All in all, will we be baxk, YES. Will we order queso ($8) and soup, NO. Happy ending though, we did receive a FREEQUESO card at the end. ???????? Read more
Update, DON'T GO HERE!!! We came for dinner on June 5th. They were not too busy, but we waited about 50 minutes to get our food... after we ordered! At least three groups of people that were seated about 20 minutes after we ordered our food got their food waybefore we did! The waitresses said the kitchen is busy. I got tired of waiting so I asked to speak with the manager. He said thesame thing, the kitchen is busy. When I asked how so many other people that were seated after we ordered got their food beforewe did, he said some food takes longer to cook. I told him what we ordered and compared that to what other tables were given. We had a kids hamburger, enchilada, soup and tacos, while other tables had huge meals, including fajitas. He said hamburgerstake 10 minutes to cook and fajitas only 30 seconds. Yes, he said that lie! I tried to ask him something else and he just turnedhis back me and walked away. He should be FIRED! They never even gave a discount or price reduction on the bill. They don't careabout customers! DON'T GO TO THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! Update; We came back on September 6th and the food and service was stillvery good. We came here for the first time today, August 15th. The food and service was very good. It's a nice sit down Mexican restaurant. If you never been here let me tell you it's worth a visit. The menu is simple. The food... is good for all. Not real spicy. The drinks are good and the sauces are good. It's a little pricey but the plates are big. Read more

We usually love going to Chuys, but this time, we got absolutely terrible service. They seated us next to the kitchen so we were... able to see our server on his phone instead of bringing us our drinks that were already on the tray. We came at 3:30 hoping tobeat the rush and get quick service/food and yet it took over 20 minutes for him to bring us our drinks, 30 to take our order.How is the possible with an empty restaurant?
