My new favorite family dining location! We came in for the first time after receiving some coupons for free kids meals from a... school function. I was super impressed on nearly every level. First, regularly priced kids meals start at $4.29, and includedrink and free ice cream. The service was fast and really nice cashiers. The location was clean and tables were bused quicklyafter patrons left. My kids asked to come back for dinner. This place is a steal and will be our new family lunch spot afterchurch. Walked in with my husband to order some take-out. Guy at the register greeted us immediately even though he had another customer... in front of him and the restaurant appeared quite busy. I have to admit I was quite impressed with him as an individual. He waspatient with us, knew the menu well, excellent suggestive selling, courteous with other staff and still managed to make eyecontact and greet each person walking in. Salad bar and overall restaurant was clean and orderly. Our orders were correct andfresh. So glad we stopped by. We have now decided to make this our go-to spot. Jason's Deli is one of favorite restaurants in San Antonio, it's been around all my life and still has the tasty food I remember... when I was a little kid. When I was younger (and still today) I loved how they had free ice cream and it was self-serving!Unlike most restaurants which either had the machine broken or it wasn't self-serve. My favorite thing is the salad bar, whichhas a variety of options and is all the same price no matter what you put on it. I highly recommend their broccoli cheddar souptoo! The only downside is cleanliness, the tables and plates seem a bit greasy and there are multiple booths right next to thebathrooms. Overall though I recommend you stopping by and tasting some delicious food! Read more
Seamless process. I ordered online and went in to pickup my food. No probs.. My gumbo was delicious per usual. It was my 1st... time trying the little cornbread muffins, they were ok. Not bad I'm just really picky with my cornbread. Read more
This evening I dined in and my food was horrible I ordered the zucchini grilli and my sandwich bread was burnt entirely. It was... so burnt and so hard it hurt and cut the roof of my mouth and I didn't eat my entire sandwich due to the burnt bread. My wifeordered the Papa Joe and her order was made wrong when the waitress brought it to the table. She tried to explain to thewaitress that her order was made wrong and the waitress couldn't understand her and didn't speak any english so my wife had towalk her order up to the front and get remade. We really like to eat here when we're very hungry. The salad bar is the best thing for your buck, by far! Nothing beats those... baby Ginger muffins! It's so fun that they give free ice cream to anyone who comes in and orders! It's wonderful that they havehealthy options as well as some tasty treats. And the soups never disappoint.
