The hostess was super rude! I ordered chicken caldo. The description said it had avocado. I had to ask for the avocado! AND, it... doesn’t come with tortillas! Like what Mexican restaurant serves caldo WITHOUT TORTILLAS? Even stupid Mama Margie’s givesyou tortillas when you order caldo! The cochinita pibil tacos are miniature tacos and they didn’t even put cilantro or onions!The real cochinita tacos come with cilantro and red onions!!!! Clearly they need to learn more about Mexican Cuisine! I askedfor extra lemons when I ordered my Caldo de Pollo. The waitress didn’t even check ONCE on us! I make better caldo de pollo!Their corn tortillas were raw! I could taste the uncooked maza! I would recommend going to Taco Palenque or Tacotote if you wantsemi Mexican Food in lame San Antonio! Exceptional service by our server, Trinity!! She was courteous, friendly & pleasant, yet professional and attentive. It's our... first visit at this location and she's very knowledgeable about the menu selections. Trinity checked in with us each time shewalked by. Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! We went in without any preconceived notions as we hadn’t heard anything about it, and... I absolutely loved the food! Our server was very attentive, though I will say that nobody greeted us when we walked up. We hadto get the attention of someone to be seated. After that, the service was great and food was incredibly fresh. We sat outsideand seating was very comfortable, and it was chilly outside but they had no problem lighting a fire for us. There should be abigger sign to guide you into the restaurant, because it’s on the side of an insurance business and is hard to see from theparking lot, but I’m glad we gave this spot a chance. 1st visit to this location on 07-30-21, Stopped in for an appetizer of Nachos Compuestos w/fajita meat, guacamole, and... jalapenos. I expected more than I received, nachos had very small pieces of fajitas meat, and 2 nachos didn't have any meat atall. Service was slower than expected, and I was disappointed with my overall visit. Jennifer and her staff are amazing - words can't express how wonderful everything was for my daughters graduation from Nursing... school. We hosted friends and family in the private dining area which is beautiful with plenty of room for eating and mingling. We were treated so very well and our server was so attentive! The hostess needs some work on hospitality. As she took us to our table she didn't hold the door open, brought one menu for a... party of 2, and then walked away. I didn't even put an order in. No sense in giving my business to a place that doesn'tcare. The restaurant was freezing and several tables needed to be cleared. Read more
