The food is always a little different here & the menu is light on details, so I am never sure what to order, especially since... the menu seemed to have changed since the last time I came. I was very happy with the Tex-Mex plate. I am not a huge eater sothat might be my only criticism as the serving seemed small for some. The crispy taco and flauta was very tasty and not greasywhich can happen with fried food. Seemed the taco was more like grilled, which is different. The enchilada with the verde saucewas very yummy. The Mexican rice is on the plainer side but the beans were well seasoned, which I don?t usually like at Mexicanfood restaurants. Even the chips at our table were good - they used to be too hard, but they now make them just perfect, freshand not greasy. Even our server was very pleasant, friendly and gave us prompt service. As a side note, we normally ask forthe chicken nachos (secret menu that a prior server recommended once). If you feel the need for an appetizer or love nachos, askif they have them. They are delicious and my favorite dish (we didn't get them this time since we weren?t looking to eat mostlychips). Read more
I hate leaving bad reviews. But I also want to save others from having a less than great food experience. Everything about this... place is not close to that. Please, unless your on a lunch break and want cheap nachos, keep looking. Even the customers servicewas off putting. Plus, lime water doesn't have the same ingredients as a margarita. We came here to enjoy the food like we enjoyed it at the location downtown and ordered the shrimp aguachilles and they bring it... to us raw and when told about how the food was raw. They told us they would tell the chef so that they could cook it better nexttime and we were like what about this time so we had to personally ask for the manager and explain the whole thing to thatmanager at which point she said see didn't see the plate but thank full I took pictures and showed them to her and then she toldus that she would have them taken of our bill. Another thing is for some to tell us that the other location cooks there shrimplonger in lime juice but not them and they also put olive oil in the shrimp marinate which would stop the lime juice fromcooking the shrimp. Not good. So take pictures of your food that way when you ask for a manager they don't send a busboy to getthe plates so that you can't show your problem with your food. This place is very eclectic! There are so many cool things to look at and take pictures with! The outdoor seating was fantastic... on such a beautiful, perfect-weathered day. The food was phenomenal. I personally had guacamole, queso, salsa (of course, andit is fire roasted), and the Torre de Mariscos. It was a beautiful plate and it tasted even better than it looked! I alsoindulged in a watermelon mojito - it was the best, most refreshing mojito that has ever touched my lips! I own a liquor storeand have worked as a bartender in the past - this drink was perfection in a cup! I will visit again just for another! Mycousins got street tacos which had the white cheese brown and bubbled to perfection! Our grandma got enchiladas which were verdestyle and looked quite tasty!
