I am so glad that there are still places that I'm still discovering. This was a perfect brunch without having that hustle and... bustle of a chain restaurant. It was relaxing, slow-paced, and absolutely charming in every way. Wrapped in nature. If you'relooking for a place to get away from it all, you'll definitely want to spend some time here. The center also offers a lot ofshopping but oddly many were closed on Sunday. Apparently they don't know people like to have brunch and then go walk it off.But I'm very glad that Meadow Neighborhood was open. I met a friend there and we both commented immediately on how calming itwas. There were no banging dishes or loud talking people. The music was calm the servers all seem to thoroughly enjoy workingfor this company. We started with their camping donuts. Bellisia gave us a great description (they were made with biscuit dough)that was when I was sold. My mother would make homemade donuts with her scratch biscuit dough. These were, im guessing, rolledsolid in the cinnamon sugar where my mother would just sprinkle them lightly. That said, still delish. French pressed coffee wasmild and wonderful. and nice to enjoy after my bloody mary. If you like it spicy let your server know to kick it up a notch. Ihad the French toast (lots of great words in that description) and they lived up to the expectations. Let me first say I wasdisappointed on the size at first. it seemed rather small. then let me follow that up with oh my wow, I'm so glad it was smallerthan I thought because it was so rich and wonderful and honestly, come on, a normal portion size LOL. I did splurge and add aside of bacon Not sorry. My friend had a plate that was a mix of potatoes and eggs that were "cooked in bacon fat". MNE made noexcuses and had no remorse about letting us know (right there on the menu) the eggs were cooked in bacon fat. beautifully done.My friends plate also had brisket. After asking me to taste it we both agreed the flavor was the Read more

Excellent service from the host, and wait staff. Multiple people pitched in to help with any needs we had and especially our... waitress Belle. Food was delicious, served very hot straight from the grill. Mimosas were served with fresh juice and willdefinitely return. Read more

Unbelievably amazing. We've dined at every date-worthy spot in San Antonio and I cannot believe we missed this hidden gem that... outshines all of our favorite places (Rebelle, Supper, Silo to name a few) First, it is quaint and hidden from street view.Second, it is the ultimate farm to table kitchen with a vibe reminiscent of Gwendolyn that sadly closed. We ordered the chickenbiscuit, the ricotta toast, the halibut and the radish salad. Every single things was so worthy of praise- exceedingexpectations at every bite. Our service was fantastic (thank you John). Drinks were wonderful. Foodie fanatics and culinaryconnasuirs- Meadow is a must! Read more

New to San Antonio, I visited with a friend and had dinner. Food is delicious. Came back again on a Sunday for brunch and was... not disappointed. It was close to closing time but they were very polite, seated me outside and provided excellent customerservice. I will definitely be back in the future. The shrimp and grits and biscuits and gravy are the best. And yes I had a biteof both! It’s a small business, locally owned and does get busy. Be patient, give them a break it will be worth the wait. Stopped by unplanned on a Saturday morning. I didn't have a reservation, but was seated within 5 minutes. I thought it would... be a little longer since it was a cold morning and nobody was eating outside. Luckily, was seated quickly. Waiter quickly cameover to take the drink and appetizer orders. Started off the the Banana-Pecan Bread and the Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuit. Bothcame out within 10 minutes and smelled great, especially the Banana-Pecan Bread. Both sound simple, but these both were uniqueand not what you typically receive. They were fresh, crispy outside, but warm and soft inside. They Honey Butter went wellwith the bread. Each was a small portion perfect for an appetizer. For the meals, ordered Apple-Brown Butter French Toast,SSCP Hashbrowns, Breakfast Sausage, and Homestead Gristmill Grits crunchy & cheesy. All the food came out together within 15minutes. All were good, but my surprise favorite was the Grits made crunchy & cheesy style. The French Toast was equally asgood with the caramelized apples with whipped cream. Enjoyed having breakfast in this small homestyle eatery with a simple, yetdelicious menu. Good food and service Read more

Absolutely love the location and the food! We were supposed to visit for lunch, but ended up stopping by for brunch because of... the hours (they close early on Sunday). Even though the online reservation feature was not working, we were able to call aheadand reserve a table. The restaurant itself is in a complex called The Alley, and it’s surrounded by shops and otherrestaurants, I think. The outside area is really Nice and expansive, with little couches and comfy pillows. None of the mealoptions looked enticing to me, so I made my own meal. I really like that option actually cause they have so many things tochoose from. I ended up getting two eggs, the hash, and toast. All of it was delicious but I will say the hash was myfavorite. Coffee was a little pricey at $4, but it tasted very rich and creamy. It must have been made with a French press sothe higher cost makes sense. Read more

We've been here so many different times and each time I never quite made it to write a review. We've had great experiences from... pre-pabdemic to restaurant weeks and regular date nights. During the pandemic, we've enjoyed the outdoor seating areaparticularly and last night, the outdoor heater kept us warm. We were in time to enjoy some happy hour drinks - I had theMadras which included vodka from the menu and my husband had the Old Fashioned. He had the apple salad and we shared the RabbitRillettes which was pate with mustard. That was delicious! For the entrees, I had the pork chop which was slightly on the dryside and my husband had the phenomenal roasted monkfish. I had a bite and it was cooked perfectly. We finished the meal with theapple terrine with butterscotch ice cream which was a great way to end the meal. If you're looking for consistent food qualityand great service, stop by here to check it out. Read more

Enjoyed the experience, but the main courses we had could have certainly been better. Of course, we did just get burgers and a... chicken sandwich - but they were done pretty generically. Nothing about them was particularly good. However, we also had someinteresting donuts that were fantastic and a very strong coffee liqueur drink (wish there was a little more coffeeflavor). Overall a nice experience, but the main courses could have definitely been stepped up. Read more
