Mimi's is without a doubt the BEST in SA for their Tamales. I used to get them on the way to my former job, now I have them and... their breakfast tacos delivered to my door. If you're on the fence and in need of tamale options, DEFINITELY consider Mimi's!!! Read more

The lady who looks like the owner went above and beyond on my first time experience. She was so nice and attentive by providing... spoons and forks when she found out I was in the process of moving and I had stopped by to grad a quick order to feed my family. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back. Especially now that I moved into the neighborhood! Read more

Wanted a quick bite, but also somewhere I haven't been to. So I settled for Mimi's. Dining room is almost nonexistent, with... only space for one table in order to make walk room for incoming customers. I chose to go for a chorizo and egg, barbacoa, and acarne asada taco. The unexpected star of the show was the chorizo and egg. The ratio of egg and chorizo was perfecto and moist.Next, I went for the barbacoa, the main thing they specialize in. Thankfully the meat wasn't dry, though more on the leanerside. Unfortunately, no seasoning whatsoever. I guess I should of accepted the salt and pepper packets that the guy at thecounter offered me. Maybe its under seasoned to accommodate older guests? If so, I still won't take that as an excuse for abland taco. I would of also liked if they asked me for onions and cilantro for the barbacoa, considering he asked me for thecarne asada.. Speaking of asada, this is definitely the worst of the 3 tacos that I ordered. Under seasoned, big chunks of notso tender beef. Quite disappointed with this joint. I did expect more. Also, the restaurant doesn't make fresh tortillas, whichmay be a red flag for purists. I was mostly indifferent on the matter though. Prices are bit higher than expected, though theydo fill the taco to the brim, so no need to ask for extra meat/filling. In the end, I think I'll go elsewhere in the future fortacos and maybe you should too if you are coming here for more than breakfast. 3/5 Read more

They greet you when you walk in and when... you leave, they dont just say "thank you," but "thank you for your business ." The staff recognizes their regulars and neverfail send you off with a generous portion worth more than you paid for! The food is 5 star! Went by on a Sunday 1045am n there was a line but went by quickly. There was some soft juicy n fully cooked lengua- n the... regular barbacoa was just as delicious. Saw lots of regulars, as the owners greeted them by name. Certainly my go too when I'mcraving my back home Sunday breakfasts with the Family. Read more
