Service: Service was terrible the place was empty and yet we were waiting at the cash register for 8 mins awaiting for the... employee to finish online orders. They prioritized online orders first than dine in customers. Food: I got the firecrackerchicken with rice everything about my order tasted stale The rice was dried. The chicken had no flavor. The portion size of thechicken was small. You would imagine getting a plate like this would be a side of rice. No they literally filled the bowl withrice with a little chicken. Even the fortune cookie was stale. save your money and go to panda. Read more

Normally this place has been good over the years. At 10/20/22 around 5 pm our food ordering in store to bring home for. We... ordered broccoli beef on both entrees. Opened them as soon as I got home it was cold, and had to throw half the broccoli, broccoli was raw and not cooked on both meals. The meal was like they threw in everything cold with sauce and uncooked broccoli. This must have been a bad night. I won't be back for awhile. For spending around $25 for this I would expect better. I wish Icould add pictures the broccoli was gross. Read more

First, I tried to call in an order but I was on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever picked up. So I did an online order for... curbside pick up. Got there and parked. I called again as per the instructions. Again, no one answered. I ended up going insideto get my curbside order and looking around, they weren't even busy. Got home and the food wasn't very good. I guess they canbe compared to Panda Express or China Express. 1) They're pricier, 2) The food isn't very good, and 3) Service isn't very goodeither. Read more

Usually I am not complainer, I understand current staffing situation.I ordered spicy drunken noodles without chicken, dada Dan... noodles, 4 spring roles. Well Dan dan noodles was served cold with hot chicken gravy on top with sliced cucumber, drunken noodlewas also serve cold and hard to chew. Spring roll was frozen fried cold inside. This particular location used to be very good, providing good quality food for a decent price. Over the past, I'll say, six or... seven months though, the quality of the dishes offered has been up and down. At times, they can still prepare tasty Asianofferings, while other times, not so good. If they can shake off the inconsistencies, they will be close to the top of the listof Asian food establishments in the San Antonio area. I hope they rise to the challenge and are able to do so! I don't usually have to leave bad reviews. I wish I could've left no stars this time. I haven't gone to Pei Wei in a... while. It used to be one of my kid's and my favorite places to eat some quick and great tasting Chinese food. However, whilethe menu appears to be the same as it was the last time, the food is not and the "restaurant" isn't either. It started with ayoung man who took our order, who in the name of efficiency, spoke very fast, like a robot, under his breath, looking down atthe register, while he did all of this. I had to ask him several times, to repeat his questions, as they were barely audibleand the words couldn't be understood, oh, and I have perfect hearing and the restaurant wasn't loud. I should've known thatsomething was not right, as we were used to going to eat there, and there usually was barely a place to sit and also a customaryline. This time, we were the only people in line, and there were about three tables that were occupied by customers. Wereceived our receipt, went to sit down, as we walked towards our usual seat, we noticed that the rear wall decor had beenchanged. They had taken away the great Coke soda machine that they used to have, and removed all of the hot sauce jars thatthey used to have, which customers could take to the tables. They also got rid of the metal silverware, and the tables andseats were covered in food droppings, crumbs, and greasy residue. We wiped down the seats and table, as best as one can, with adry napkin. We received our food quickly, in to-go containers. They had apparently gotten rid of their beautiful stoneware, and opted to use one time use plastic and cardboard containers. A perfect choice for the environment. The portions now aremuch smaller. I used to eat half of the food I ordered and used to have to take the rest home for later, as the portions weresubstantial. The food was thrown into my kid's cardboard container without care, as all of the flaps were dirty and they Read more

The place seems to be understaffed, I only saw one lady doing pick-up orders and taking food to patrons in the restaurant. She... was friendly but was trying to do everything by herself. The food was honestly not great for the price, we ordered the familymeal with vegetable lo mein, Sweet and Sour chicken, Kung Pao chicken, 4 crab Rangoons and Thai donuts. The sweet and sourchicken was tasty but for a family of 4 there were maybe 5-6 smaller pieces. The Kung Pao chicken had good flavor but onceagain it was mostly rice and very little chicken. The ragoons were fried dough with barely any cream cheese filling. It?sunlikely we will be back. :-( Read more

Let me start by saying this, when the GM is there everything is awesome, but the two times I have been here when she is not have... been horrible. The GM should not need to be present for things to go well. Today, I had a minor issue, then Gavin lied and toldme he was the manager, refusing to provide a refund. It never makes sense to lie about anything, let alone your position in theplace you work. You do a disservice to the organization you work for and provide terrible customer service in the process. I donot appreciate liars. That was enough, but when I got home I noticed the food was lacking. This is only the second time I havehad this issue, and it is again, the second time I visited this location when the GM was not present. I wondered how a Pei Weihas such a low rating, and it seems customer service and food consistency may be the issue at hand. If those two things arefixed, I bet the rating goes beyond 4.5. Just a thought. Read more
