I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but we were a little disappointed. We sat outside, which had a great view... of the Pearl area. The service was slow, very slow. It was hard to get drinks and refills for water. We tried the frog legs,they were good but expensive for what you get. The “Famous Pressure Fried Chicken” was TERRIBLE! Under seasoned andtough/chewy. Very nice restaurant and brewery. We visited here on a Saturday at around 5pm and there was no sitting available inside so they... accommodated us outside on the patio. We had the frog legs, burger, fried chicken with a side of mac n cheese and the seafoodsalad. Everything was really good. For my personal taste the salad was a bit expensive ($27) for the seafood/lettuce ratio. Butotherwise everything was great. The beers were delicious and brewed right there. Level of service is always the same - excellent! I have always visited for brunch, and this time, came late in the evening for... oysters and salad. The staff is very knowledgeable and knows the their oysters! Living on the east coast, I love the selectionsthat are briny. Frozen drinks are not my top choice, but I love their frozen rosè. The fried chicken is absolutely delish. I ammore of a health-conscious eater and seldom indulge in fried foods. Southerleigh is my exception! Read more

It was our first time here and also our first anniversary, which we specified in the reservation and on top of that my MIL... called in advance to make sure we were going to get a free dessert and champagne for the special occasion. The staff makes this place! They’re fun, knowledgeable and attentive. We had the oysters which were terrific, and I had the... steak salad. The steak was a little chewy but nothing I’d send back. They only serve beer, wine and hard cider. The menu ismainly seafood so be ready. It’s a laid back crowd but there is a fine dining element to this spot. The name says it all! Fine food and brewery. Got a perfect table outside where we got to enjoy a couple of their flavorful... classic beers with delicious food while onlooking eclectic group of people having an amazing time with their friends and familyin the middle of the pearl plaza. We were also lucky to get Donna as our server as she not only recommended the finger-lickingfood but also took the time to share the history of the place and continued to check on us to make sure we had a greatexperience! We have been here a few times over the last few years but this was the first time we tried brunch. It was fantastic. My wife and... I shared the three egg breakfast and the steak and eggs.
