I've been looking a long time for a place that's inside San Antonio it's good barbecue and not made for tourists. This is my... first place I found it checks all the boxes. Human size portions. Street level people prices. And a staff that is not afraid tomake sure you're doing okay. It's like all the people behind the counter give you that look like they'll have your memaw out thedoor if you need to or change tire. It's not always about customer service or mandatory phrases. Darn good, though not the best, brisket and sausage. Prices are a little high, as there's not a lot of food on the two-meat... platter for $13, which includes two small sides. Service is quick and friendly, and the dining area is not fancy but nice. Read more

Love the friendly service w a smile you always get here! Always fast but never rushed. Looking for something "lighter" so I went... with half smoked chicken, nice tender green beans and some delicious, cheesy jalapeño mac n cheese with a nice spicy, pepperybite! Always friendly staff even when busy. Whenever I go to a restaurant, or hair salon that is busy it reassures me that the food... must be good and your held true for the bbq station. Always clean and mostly buddy with a quick line, they are very fast like Jjfast :) They have seating arrangements but I always buy to go which ends up being eaten in the car while I drive.
