I've always liked The Growler Exchange but I'll be honest I didn't go often. BUT now there's pizza involved and boy is it good!... You can grab a plain ol' pepperoni pizza or a meat sweats. You can even go for a pepperoni pizza with honey!!!! HONEY! Theirpies are delicious but beware they're a tad larger than a personal size. It's a nice size for myself but definitely need morethan one for a group to share. I love coming here with my friends to catch up over some of their rotating brews. A variety oftallboys are also available. The crowd is always chill and it's never loud. The bartenders are always so polite and will let yougrab a swig of any brew before going all in for a full pour. There's a few board games, TVs showing sports on low volume andpatio sitting. I dig it! If you're wanting great service from a friendly staff, yummy pizza and a chill atmosphere- get on downto Growler Exchange! Read more

Brought the wife here for a date night and we had a great time. The beers that we tried were all great. We also decided to order... 2 pizzas, the spicy meat sweats and Mike's Special. Mike's Special came as a recommendation from the bartender, even though itsounded funny, it tasted amazing. The prices here were good and were not overpriced like most places in San Antonio. Overall wewere extremely satisfied with our visit and will definitely come back next time that we visit San Antonio. Read more

New to the area, my wife and I are checking out places to call our new restaurant homes. Took a shot on The Growler Exchange. We... were not disappointed! The wide variety of beer with informative taste descriptions was very impressive! Even more impressivewas seeing Equilibrium beer from Middletown NY near where we had recently lived. But I decided to go for some local brews andenjoyed them. Coming from NY/NJ we weren't impressed with the pizza crust which seemed to be processed and packaged. The on topingredients and choices made up for the bottom. Also, the caprese salad was overpriced for its size. We were expecting a littlemore mozzarella and tomato or some field greens to stretch it but it was still very good. We will be back as regulars! Read more

This is always our go to place! Love the atmosphere, the beers on tap are always great. They offer a wide variety of beers. They... have beer and wine available to buy to go. Oh and they have pizzas as well to buy. They only come in 1 size, 10in i believe. Butthey taste amazing! Read more

First time there my pizza was undercooked. The second time there my pizza was burnt to crisp to the point it was tasteless and... unappealing. Good selection of beer. Will give them one more chance to get the pizza right. Atmosphere could use some pep, it'sa bit boring. Read more

On a visit to San Antonio this was a great find! Don't leave without trying the sweet & spicy pizza with chili oil... Going to... need three beers to finish, this heat build up slow! Bring your dog, sit outside and watch the Christmas lights across thestreet... Great spot. Read more

Very good draft selection, that Weathered Souls BA Rainbow Sherbet berliner weisse was my favorite beer in awhile. Menu listed... on Untappd. I'd prefer if they offered flights or 5oz pours (smallest pour varies but it's 8oz+), so I'd rate this 4.5 stars andround up to 5. Read more

I went to The Growler on a Friday around 630pm and found it to be packed! It is a small bar but worth going to if you love your... Craft Beer! Excellent selection of Craft beer both local and all over. Service is quick and although food menu is limited it ishome made and delicious! I had a Pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and onions, plus a pretzel. Would go back and have it again! Read more
