This was our first time ordering from Gigi's Wing Shack. We ordered the Texas Hot (perfect Buffalo heat), spicy BBQ, mango... habanero (very subtle flavor, but we liked it), and naked for the kids. I hate when wings are over fried so there's hardly anymeat left, but these were great! Only thing I'd change is the ranch, but that's just me. We'll definitely be back! Read more
Food critics- Gigis wing shack Traveling south in Texas to find great and amazing food from the ?hole in the wall? mom and pop... restaurants and let me start off by saying landing in the valley(RGV) a small town between McAllen and Brownsville is a smalltown called San Benito(home of the great Freddy Fender) there?s this small restaurant called Gigis wing shack, known for theirwings but also have many other options on the menu and yes that includes authentic Mexican dishes. Let me tell give uou insightof the food, the burger, wing, and fries combo is most delicious with the wings coming in various sauces with amazing flavor ineach and every bite, the fries are crispy and crunchy, the burger patty is perfect and not overly cooked. And then there?s theenchiladas with rice and beans, not your typical enchiladas the flavor is full and so is the rice and beans. Being so close tothe border of Mexico, the food is most definitely as authentic Mexican as is comes. The staff is amazing and friendly, the foodagain is so delicious, so if your every in the area or just passing through to go the beach in south padre island then you muststop by and enjoy the delicious food that is served here. Just ate at Gigi's Wingshack ! I have had the pleasure of dining and eating at plenty of wing places BUT these wings hit the... spot . Everey bite was amazing full of flavor crispy saucy perfection Cooked just right with the homemade sauce to top them offoh there is plenty napkins on the table but why bother you can't waste the sauce ?!! First time trying this place. Nice atmosphere. Lemon pepper wings were on point hot, fresh, and cooked right. Had a sweet tea to... drink was just right. Fries were nice and crispy, hot and fresh. Panchos were filling. Read more

LOVED THOSE ONION RINGS! Gigi has a great selection of meal options. I started with onion rings that were the best recipe I've... ever had; no separation of the onion from crispy batter! I'm ordering these every time I return; dip them in ranch. I chose the5-wing, fries, & large bacon burger with cheese. The ingredients are premium: purple onions, romaine lettuce, ripe freshtomatoes. The beef patty was excellent, the bacon was crispy, and the condiments were generous. The fries were julian, I likethem crispier; the tea was refreshed often. Garlic-Parmesan winglets were hot off the crisper & well seasoned, should've hadthem with ranch to cool them off. I spent more than expected but got good service & I will return with friends. Service was the only reason they got 2 stars and not one. Food was terrible (no flavor) fries were cold and soggy (no seasoning... or flavor). Bathroom was borderline decent (no soap). Had to go to the men's restroom for soap. Over charged me but I didn'tmake a big deal about it. They forgot to bring me avocado and double charged me for it.??????????? Wouldn't recommend this placeor come back. It was pretty empty and the atmosphere was not the most pleasant or best place to chill and wait for food. Musicwasn't the best either. Read more
