I've had bread gallery for a long time now. I recently visited the Irvine farmers market (now at Mariners Church). I remember... getting Bread Gallery when I was younger in the parking lot by In N Out / Eureka. The labels are still the same. Same greatflavor and texture. I swear the woman selling the bread also had the same model (but a dark blue, not grey) van. Anyways, thecroissants are great (zinnamon and chocolate), the garlic, and new bread is great too. Fabulous baker/breadseller who ispassionate and takes pride in her products. Read more

Fresh baked breakfast pretzels filled with egg and veggies, the most amazing stollen, giant croissants, fabulous coffee and... espresso, friendly staff. The only thing this place is missing is a sign that reflects how awesome it is! Don't let the blandoutside fool you. It's a gem. Read more

The sandwiches and salads are the freshest and best in town. The taste is amazing. Super fresh ingredients. Only a handful of... options as far as types of sandwich but each one is made perfectly. To get a good selection of their variety of breads andsweets, get there as early as you can. You snooze you lose. Read more

The gals were really nice that work there! They're like sandwich artists! I like the limited menu, because they get everything just perfectly done! Read more

All the fanfare and glowing reviews? Only to get to the place to try their highly praised soft pretzels and other goodies, and... find that their display at 10:30 AM, only had 3 pastries aligned. Inquired about the highly praised pretzels and was told theyhad none. This place looked so sadly empty, I had a flashback to the time I went to 85c in Irvine, where the line and theactivity of that much better bakery was amazing. I can understand why locals would want to protect locals by writing greatreviews, as a matter of fact that is the reason I went by, but the visit was simply put: disastrous. No inventory, no clientelebut lonely foolish me, and the announcement that the main baker was not working that day due to unexpected circumstances. So Iwasted a good trip to a bakery that had absolutely no redeeming qualities. Purchased a couple of breads (what else was Isupposed to do at that stage?), and the bread was okay, nothing to challenge a place like 85c, which was my original destinationbut decided to patronize this much publicized bakery, by reputable publications, no less! No, this is not the oasis of qualitybaked goods, is just a very small, no selection whatsoever kind of place. Hope the owner get well soon. Maybe he should take atrip to serious bakeries one day, and even buy one of their decidedly many offerings, as opposed to a bakery where there wereonly less than a handful pastries at hand, and remembering the main baker was not around, surely left overs from previousdays. 5 Stars? What a joke, more like a generous 3 Stars. Read more
