Reviews for Cafe Hermosa in San Clemente, CA

We stopped for lunch on October 30th intending to eat at the restaurant next door. Their line was quite long and Cafe Hermosa's... line was short and so we opted to eat at Cafe Hermosa. We ordered our food, which was more expensive than the sandwich shop nextdoor, but we thought it would be worth it to save some time. Not only did we not save any time, because it took almost an hourto get our food, but we are very disappointed in the food itself. The sandwiches were not very tasty with very little meat onthem, and not worth the high price we paid for them. The place was being run by a bunch of very young people , some of themappeared to be teenagers . So I do not recommend this business to anyone. Read more

This place is an example of quiet resignation. Rude servers and ok food. My friend and I felt like we were bothering the girls... that worked there. Very disappointed since it was our first time there. Read more

Breakfast burrito wasn?t too bad. Coffee was alright as well. The staff however? good grief! Four girls working (really just... two) the short brunette and tall brunette. The benches were dirty, there was food and crumbs all over the floor, and of coursesocial media is always more important these days to the youth than checking on your customers or doing any part of your job ingeneral that the owner is paying for you to do. It?s a cute little cafe, but I?m sure I can find a better spot than this nexttime I want breakfast. First time & last time experience here. Why is there a tip jar on the counter? Read more

Unfortunately the service isn?t what it used to be. The staff were always so happy and friendly but the last couple of times... that wasn?t my experience. My last visit my matcha latte had very little matcha I could taste mostly milk. Today, I ordered hotand when I let the gal know I received cold instead of hot she was super rude about it. I won?t return. Not worth my money. Iwill stick with Lola?s cafe in Ladera. It?s the best! Read more

They did not know how to make a cappuccino here. To be fair, I'm sure the grocery store Starbucks next door can't make one... either. This is a restaurant that has coffee, not a coffee shop. Nice interior, plenty of outdoor seating. Looked prettypopular with the local yokels. Read more

The breakfast burrito (with bacon) was delicious and just what I was looking for - not greasy or ?over done" like some others.... Great balance of flavors from the cheese, potatoes and meat. Salsa on the side was tasty. Fruit cup was a fresh bonus! Oh, goodcoffee too! :) We visited on a Sunday morning at about 10:00 a.m. and there was no wait. Looking forward to trying the otheroptions soon! Read more

Service made me feel like I was a inconvenience to the two young ladies working the counter. Because I hadn?t ordered ahead. I... ordered a breakfast burrito & oat latte, my latte was so hot I was finished with my burrito before it was even drinkable. AndI?m sorry but this ?breakfast burrito? should have been called a hashbrown burrito. I?ve had better from a filibertos. Reallydisappointed in this ?hip cafe? Read more

What a cool little spot! Great food, great decor, great vibe, great staff. We had a chopped kale salad that was huge and... beautiful. Super fresh ingredients and SO good. Also got a Pesto Chicken Panini. L.E.G.I.T. Read more
