I thought the deviled eggs were really good but I think I would have not minded if they had not been fried. You could ask for... them not to be fried which I wish I would have known; I did not think frying enhanced the flavor but they were good. Theyweren't as tart as I usually like them but still, I liked them. The chicken and mashed potatoes was absolutely delicious andit's a huge plate. I ended up having to take it home and it made 2 other meals for me; worth the cost. Next time I'm going totry the salmon, the lady next to me got it and looked delicious. Enjoy! Read more

Wow. Great food, truly great. The sea bass was expertly prepared and the service was outstanding. I ended getting an order of... ribs to go and ate them about 3 hours later. They were wonderful, so I can't imagine how good they were fresh. Read more

We chose Nick's San Clemente for our wedding anniversary dinner. If I could give 10 stars I would, 5 for food and 5 more for... service. We knew the food would be great having eaten at other Nick's locations, but this was made extraordinary because of theservice, which was attentive without being at all intrusive. We started with the fried asparagus, great choice. For entrees myhusband had the Bistro Plate with petite filet mignon, cup of soup and bistro salad. I had the cioppino, pictured, which waspacked with giant prawns, salmon, sea bass, clams and mussels. We finished with the lemon cake, half of which came home fortomorrow. The staff even gave us an anniversary card, a really nice touch. We will be coming back really soon. Read more

Wow, what a MEAL!!! My fiance and I were in town for his 30th birthday. I saw Nicks pop-up many times when researching nice... places to grab dinner, so I decided to give this place a try. We made reservations a few weeks in advance for 8:30 pm onSaturday the 14th. We showed up at 8:20 and we were sat down immediately. The restaurant looks average on the outside but has asleek ambiance on the inside. I loved the high bench seating, the seats were sooo comfy. Our server was very friendly andattentive despite how crowded the restaurant was. For starters, we ordered drinks. I got a jalapeno watermelon margarita and myfiance got a beer. My margarita was delicious, not too strong and just spicy enough. The watermelon flavor was subtle andrefreshing. I don't know much about beer, but the man loved his beer so that's good enough for me. We also ordered twoappetizers, the asparagus fries and the fried deviled eggs. The asparagus fries were delicious, they reminded me of zuchinnifries and the ranch they came with tasted very herbal and fresh( I wonder if they make their own ranch). The fried deviled eggswere also very good, the whipped yolk topping was slightly sweet, which was an excellent foil to the crunchy, savory, fried eggwhites. For our main entrees, my fiance ordered the Chilean sea bass, whipped mashed potatoes, and sauteed spinach. Everyonearound us was ordering the ribs so he was unsure of what to order (everything sounded amazing) but he loved his entree and evenwent as far as to say it was the best fish dinner he's ever had! I tasted his fish, and it was so buttery and tender, it wasvery good. He's not a big vegetable person, but he really liked the spinach which surprised me. As for me, I ordered the steaksalad (I forgot the actual name, bistro salad I think) and it was sooo AMAZING! My dinner consisted of a warm potato salad withlightly dressed greens and homemade croutons on top, with a ripe tomato, wedge of bleu cheese, and a small filet of stea Read more
