We walked or stumbled into this cute little " Cellar" of a restaurant... they had live music a cute... girl singing not too loud which was very nice... we decided that we would sit at the bar because it was so dark in thisrestaurant you couldn't even see the tables.... We set upon a Friday afternoon of exploring san clemente and wine tasting and stumbled upon this little wine bar. It's sorta... dark and has a rustic, speakeasy vibe. We sampled some yummy white wines and took advantage of their happy hour menu. Had alittle bit of work to do so used their wi-fi. Cool atmosphere, good wine, good vibes. The only drawback was that it smelled alittle weird when we arrived, but that faded after a little wine :) Read more
AMAZING cheese boards, AMAZING Olive dish. The selections for their cheese board are better than most other places, you can tell... they put a little more effort into selecting different cheeses as well as the sides on the board than most places. We live inSan Marcos and will drive 35 miles to hang out at The Cellar for their cheese boards and olive dish. Read more
More of a 3.5 stars, but rounded it up to be nice. The good parts: both the food taste and the service were good. The food... presentation was also nicely done. The not so good part: I understand that the town is expensive, but still. For the cheese andmeat boards was expecting better sides like honey, jam and similar that should have come with it.
