Really enjoyed this restaurant and the employee (owner?) that served us. Our kids were hungry after a tour of the Midway Museum... and couldn't agree on anything to eat except pizza, so we found this place. There is a large homeless population right aroundthe restaurant and across the street, which we were a bit put off by at first. The restaurant is small and simple inside, butthe pizza was delicious and our kids loved it. They really enjoyed being able to get pizza by the slice, so everyone could havewhat they wanted. The slices were loaded into the brick oven and served nice and hot! Definitely recommended if you prefer asimple ambiance and good food. Read more
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!! Their website links to an outside company (MenuStar) that will charge you but never put your order... through. MenuStar has no customer service and the guys at the restaurant will just tell you that it's not their problem and totake it up with MenuStar and/or your credit card company. Read more
The sauce is to die for. I love this pizzeria. I always get a cheese slice. I wish they had just pineapple cheese. Delicious!!
This is my favorite pizza in town! I wish the owner would give me a part time job here!!! Love it.
Absolutely amazing authentic tasting NY pizza! Definitely the best I've had in San Diego! The owners were SO friendly and... helpful, greeting us with a free sample of garlic knots, and just all around being extremely friendly the entire visit. New review: no longer deserves 5 stars, I didn't want to come back and edit my review but this place is very unreliable. They... never answer their phone so it is extremely hard to place an order in advance. Their online ordering never works and always saysthe place is closed. The pizza is so good... I truly believe the only reason they never have business is because of how hard itis to place an order over the phone. I come here all the time and eat inside but today I wanted a whole pizza to take homeinstead of eating a slice there. No luck. Old review: Best pizza place in SD! I live in the Little Italy area of San Diego andthis place is still better than the pizza places I live next to (Landini's, Filippi's, etc.) A Brooklyn Pizzeria makes pizza forthe people who love the classic taste & greasiness of pizza and crispy crust! Their crust is my favorite, NEVER soggy! Thisplace also offers stromboli, calzones, salads, and he can make you any pizza you want! If you like tasty pizza and kind service,this place is for you! Food is always fresh, I have never been disappointed. 10/10 I am very grateful he gave me a chance to seehis work station, I have never met someone so passionate about their craft. This is a quiet, delicious place away from the main hustle and bustle! The service was quick and the pizza was really tasty.... Plus, the music wasn't too loud, which is a nice change compare to downtown. Perfect for a quick bite after lunch! Read more
