Aburi is our favorite sushi place- fish is exceptionally fresh, spicy rolls have just the right amount of kick, and the lemon... roll is wonderfully unique. Our toddler requests it now. Highly recommend the crunchy shrimp roll, and the tempura isdelightfully light and crispy. Read more

Aburi is our go to sushi spot in North Park. It has a perfect combination of quality, taste and price. I don?t know about you... but I?m not looking for in expensive sushi. That?s not to say that they are overly expensive. They have wonderful fish preparedby excellent chef?s served by a friendly staff. They even have a solid happy hour which seems to be a lost thing these days. Read more

It's been so hard to find a good sushi spot that has both great quality and decent prices. I was so impressed with this place.... On top on of the difficulty finding good sushi, aburi sushi is even more difficult to find. The nigiri was so amazing, I highlyreccomend getting it aburi style. They torch the top of the sushi creating a bit of a smokey flavor and different texture. Thelemon roll and the seaweed salad is delicious as well. Normally a seaweed salad is just the stringy greens (which I love) butthey had black seaweed, cucumber, and carrots in it too. Overall I was so impressed with the quality, price, and presentation ofall of the food. The only con is that they don't serve alcohol right now but they may in the future. It didn't really matter tome because there's so many good bars a stones throw away Read more

Went into Aburi for my first time. Asthetically pleasing with a modern feel. Staff is friendly but seemed understaffed with how... long it took for some basic things. Very long wait time for food. My appetizer arrived at the same time as my entre which wasmoderately annoying. Prices were very high for what was just okay sushi. I had the 808whivh was keep but way to heavy on thesauces which drowned the flavor of the crab and shrimp. Overall alright sushi spot but the price will keep me from returning. Read more

I visited on opening day and was impressed despite the obvious delays as they figure out their groove. The rainbow roll was... good, the ankimo (monk fish liver) quite tasty, and the nigiri was good quality fish. The aburi sure is just like they do it inJapan and I highly recommend trying it on the salmon nigiri. The menu is large and prices are good and relative to the qualityof fish. Ignore the person in the first review, I think this place will be solid once they settle in. I didn't catch my serversname but he was doing a great job for his first day. Read more
