Tasty food but portion size is small for the price.
Chinese BBQ pork bao is hands down the best. The rest of the bao were also good, but did not knock our socks off like the BBQ... pork. I will be driving back just for this bun! The spicy edamame was also a tasty treat. Great experience for a quiet Sundaylunch. We had a delicious meal that was worth the drive from La Jolla. Dog friendly location! Read more
Delicious asian-fusion filled buns. Flavorful, substantial fillings that I enjoyed on a first visit. The quality of the meat and... seasoning is right-on, despite the inexpensive price ($4 per bun at the time, the website still has the previous $3 pricing).I'd never had a "bao" before, in this case it's sort of a taco-shell shaped soft-bun. A little messy to eat, and oh sogood. Order at the outside window, but there's indoor seating (and sidewalk seating). Read more
These were okay. The buns were pretty pricey; each one was $4. I ordered 3, which was just enough for me (I am 120 and 5'2) and... it was $12... Not a $12 meal... They do give you a "free" drink if you buy 3 bao buns. I recommend the fries a bit more just cuzthey are good and more filling at $8 for the order. This place was okay, not bad at all, but I just won't be returning, there'sway too many more places to explore. Also, the place is tiny. We sat right by the bathroom(hard not to, because the place isTINY, if you are not at the window bar, you're by the bathroom) and I kept getting grossed out when someone would go in and outof the bathroom... Fantastic fresh poke bowls! Must try the bulgogi fries, and must try the shrimp bao. Just try it all!
