I have been to a different location of the Breakfast Republic in San Diego, but this was my first time at this location. This... location has plenty of outdoor covered seating, which is a great option during the summer time. Everything that we ordered wasdelicious! The appetizer we ordered was the breakfast mac and cheese. It had bacon, mac and cheese, and over easy eggs.Everything combined was the perfect combination. I ordered the Portuguese Linguisa Sausage Scramble. The sausage was seasonedwell and the potatoes were a great compliment to the eggs. The raspberry jam that is served with this scramble is addicting, Ilove it. My friend ordered the Jurassic Pork Benedict. The serving was plentiful and had the light refreshing flavor that youwould expect with the parsley garnish. I would highly recommend the breakfast mac and cheese, it?s a must try. Love me some breakfast! This is one trendy breakfast spot and don't expect to be seated right away especially on the weekend.... Dog-friendly patio so bring your pooch! They don't take reservation so you'll just have to wait. I can never choose betweensavory or sweet breakfast.(who's with me?) I ended up ordering turkey meatloaf hash which was mixed with pesto sauce andpotatos. The jalapeños bacon cheddar sausage omlette that my friend ordered was much better. Food: 3 stars. They have a bar andserve different types of alcohol beverages: mimosas, bloody mary, and other cocktais. NO bottomless mimosa here(sorry if you gotdisappointed.) They do have bottomless lemonade if you thats your thing. Decor: 5 stars. Service: 4 stars. I was excited to trytheir food when I saw the exclusive menu but was disappointed by the quality of the food. I will come again to give it anothertry. Perhaps I'll order the sweet stuff next time. We ate here for breakfast and the food is really good. I got the triple pancake plate, pineapple upside down, buttermilk and... cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll was a little too sweet for me but overall the good was good and our waiter was nice. They were kindof busy that day but still good service. Read more
I specifically requested scrambled eggs for the breakfast Sammie and they gave me nearly raw eggs (barely over easy), making it... inedible for my preference. Also, the pineapple pancake was the most generic pancake with a few dices (5 to be exact) ofpineapple sprinkled on top and none mixed into the batter. Nothing close to ?upside down.? For $18 I would expect the pancakesto be somewhat decent. Save your money and go to Snooze if you?re looking for pancakes. Better yet, you?d be better off going toIHOP for pancakes rather than wasting your money at this place. I called to try and have this remedied but because I orderedonline through the door dash system (which is the only option for online ordering and I picked it up myself) they said there wasnothing they could do about it and said I would have to seek my refund through door dash which is a nearly impossible feat.
