I came for happy hour. I stayed for the food, vibe, and service. It’s simple, modern and elegant. This place is amazing!... Don’t walk but run here. The vibe, food and people are awesome. I got the lamb chop, asparagus, cheese ravioli, zeppolli, and3 drinks and everything was bomb! They bought out what looked like a 5 foot charcuterie board. BOMB! Parking wasn’t badeither. They also don’t rush you out when you’re done either. To pay my per person rate no mind. I was being greedy. They’re reasonable. Read more

Everything here is delicious. It’s meant to be ordered family style. We shared between four of us. Their outdoor patio is huge... and pets are allowed. -Meatballs ($18)- 2 medium sized meatballs that were flavorful. salted ricotta with focaccia read. Wishthey gave more bread. -Grilled lamb chops ($8ea) - I’m not a fan of lamb but it was pretty good but still to gamey forme. -Funghi pizza ($25)- it’s thin crust with mushrooms. I’m not a fan of the ricotta cheese and only picked off themushrooms. The salted ricotta from the meatballs was fine. -Fusilli piccante alla vodka ($21) - our favorite! It has a kick butso good. -Herbed pappardelle ($25) - I love this pasta but it was cooked too Al dente and had a crunch. -50 layer eggplantlasagna ($36) - 50 layers? Unless it’s really thin, I counted 10. But it’s so good. The chutney and basil gave off a sweetcandied taste. The drinks are yummy. I got valley of temples and its sweet and spicy like spicy Margarita with pineapples. TheAmalfi Coast is also sweet like a mojito. Mr. Trustee’s ice cream is next door and they close at 9 but you can order fromyour table. Same price. We didn’t know so we walked over five minutes before they closed and came back to sit down at ourtable. My favorite: meatballs and vodka sauce pasta. Will definitely come here again. Read more

Highly recommend, came for a date night on Friday with a reservation. The host and servers were very gracious and thoughtful... through our our dinner. The whole cauliflower was an unexpected LOVE and the Merguez Sausage Cavatelli was so flavorful. Thefood was on point, as expected with the Trust group. Read more

[Update May 2022] Still my most favorite restaurant in San Diego with great service, but the menu has changed significantly.... Drinks and desserts need improvement. Weird twist on the Tiramisu (didn’t like all that chocolate) and tasteless rosèsangria. The wine wasn’t much better. Would recommend sticking to your trusted beer or wine. [Dec 2021] Highly recommend theLamb Pizza and the baked cauliflower. The fig pizza is almost a dessert. The butternut squash pasta is also on the sweet side.Special thanks to the host/servers who accommodated us without a reservation on a busy Friday night. Read more

This is a great spot for brunch. The food was really good and the servers were friendly and knowledgeable. There are patio... heaters for the outdoor dining if it happens to be a little cool, but the indoor dining is nice too. You need to make areservation as it fills up quickly, but it doesn't seem crowded. You may want to schedule before noon, to make sure they don'trun out of their cinnamon roles (but the banana bread is delicious too). The atmosphere feels upscale but is very relaxed.Definitely worth a visit. Read more

Stopped by for brunch on Sunday, Feb. 27th with our little family of 4. We enjoyed the food, including the child's pizza (not... pictured) that would have fed 2 adults, not complaining we were just surprised. It was really delicious pizza. Daughter orderBanana Vanilla pancakes with Chantilly creme and sliced almonds, oh my gosh, will go back just for these pancakes. I orderedtheir Croissant Breakfast Sandwich with the most delicious seasoned potatoes. Our only issue was the waiting to get our food.We sat down at 12:30, there were 5 other tables seated around us. They varied from a party of 2 to a party to 1 party of 6. Ittook 15 minutes to get our drinks, and another 45 minutes to get our food. Our food finally arrived at our table at 1:30ish. Theparty of 2 ended up leaving, they were seated almost 2 minutes after we were and had also not received their food. Waitress wasreally kind and assured us our food was on the way, she kept our waters filled up. Thankfully our kids had snacked on the way orelse starving kids and parents would have been a disaster. The food was good and worth the wait. I understand pandemic &staffing issues cause minor inconveniences. No biggie. We will be back, this time for dinner. Read more

Our experience tonight was truly 5 stars. The staff are all very attentive, and our waiter was amazing. The appetizer came out... quick and there was enough time before the entree was served to feel hungry again which I appreciate greatly. We started offwith the cheesy garlic bread which I feel is mislabeled but was still very good. This dish was 6 Parker house rolls covered in agarlic butter and cheese for I believe 13$. I had the 50 layer eggplant lasagna which was nice. I am usually afraid of lasagnebecause I am sensitive to cooked tomatoes but I asked our waiter if it had a lot of tomato beforehand. It was mostly a smokyflavor eggplant with noodles and cheese. I think the mornay and red sauce cancelled each other’s flavor out so they were notso noticeable. My partner had the filet with marrow butter topping, truffled potatoes, a creamy sauce, and charred broccolini. The potatoes with the sauce were really good & my favorite part of that dish. The filet was very soft and meaty which I didn’tlove and the broccoli I tasted a bit too much like fire for my liking. We ended with a spumoni ice cream from the place nextdoor… this was such a treat and I wish I could have it again back home :) The total for our dinner was 148$ including acocktail and beer. I would come back if I visited San Diego again. Read more

Wow we LOVED this place! What a pleasant surprise. Came here for brunch, everything on the menu looked good and decent price.... The cocktails did not disappoint either! We had Mushroom omelette - absolutely amazing! Prosciutto hash ( they cut freshprosciutto up to order, nice thin slices!) Pizza, great flavors and good crust. And for dessert shared pancakes, which had alotof flavor as well. If you're a sweet breakfast person, you'd like it alot! Love the interior and design. Overall a verypleasant experience and we will be back to try other things! Read more
