First visit here....last visit here. Shrimp burrito was mostly very dry rice with 5 shrimp, two pieces of green pepper and a few... pieces of canned tomato. Had to add salsa for some flavor. Service was extremely slow for having only two tables ofcustomers. Too many really good Mexican restaurants in San Diego to return here! Read more

Stopped here on a whim as we were looking for a place to eat in our old stomping grounds of La Mesa. Not disappointed. The food... and drinks were delicious. The carnitas dinner for 1 was $7.50. The plate came with beans and rice. Our server promptly broughtus chips and salsa to start our meal. I ordered the taco sampler, which came with your choice of 5 street tacos with beans andrice. Altogether we had our meals plus 2 drinks and the total wasn't even $40!!! Not only is this an insane value but the foodquality was far above much more expensive places around town. The restaurant is cozy with festive decorations that includedpi?atas and sarapes draped over the tables and paintings that reminded me of Diego Rivera. Our server/host, Brenda, wasattentive and super friendly and just quite welcoming. If you are seeking a meal that will satisfy you in quality and flavor,come here. Carnitas plate, Bistec Ranchero, shrimp Diablo are my favorite dishes. Drinks are all reasonably priced, the La Dama is extra... tasty drink. Great deals on the beer buckets. We ordered carnitas for 2 and it was enough for at least 3 people. Plus we had rice, beans and 2 bottled Cokes all for $25. The... price was more then reasonable and the food was good. It is a very clean establishment with fast and speedy service. Our serverwas very nice. I would definitely recommend this place. By the way, they sell more than just carnitas, but that's what we wentthere to try. I hope you enjoy the food as much as we did. Read more
I heard about this place on "Nextdoor" so decided to give a try. I ordered a combo that was not on menu. Beef Enchilada with... Chili Rellano. My daughter ordered the Carnitas Burrito Plate. The enchilada sauce was a little tangy for me atfirst...but..after a couple bites I started enjoying it. The Chili Rellano sauce was great! The burrito was filled with meatthat was moist and had just enough "burnt" and was very filling. I found the food we ordered wonderfully tasty. Willdefinitely go back. Nice full menu. Tried them for the first time to night and it was very good. I had the carnitas dinner for one and my wife had the taco sampler... plate (5 mini tacos: carnitas, carne asada, pollo asada..). We had a large group and everyone was happy with their meals. Thecarnitas were very flavorful and I would definitely order again. Read more
