This hidden gem is the best Japanese restaurant I’ve found in the SD area! The salmon misoyaki my absolute favorite dish of... theirs, always cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere with outdoor seating. Highly recommend. Read more

We did the omakase and it was an absolute treat. Chef Jun prepared it for us and we were so impressed. The fish was very fresh... and the combination of flavors in each course was amazing. There are good drink options for both sake and beer (not winethough). I can't wait to return! Read more

I'm shocked this place isn't more popular. It's amazing! The food/fish are high quality and fresh. My partner and I shared the... Jun San and orange Specialty Roll. My favorite is the salmon oshi, which ironically, is the only thing I didn't take a pictureof. Everything was delicious and light. We'll definitely be coming back and putting this into our dinner routine. Read more

The tonkatsu ramen was so hit and miss— the watery 16hr broth was rather bland. The chasu and noodles were good and the egg... was excellent. The chili oil was monotonous, mild at best and didn’t help the broth flavor at all. I ate what I could andordered a rainbow roll. The California roll base was good in my lunch special and in the rainbow roll. The fish on top of therainbow roll was okay. The California mixture CARRIED the rainbow roll. The service was good, inside is nice. Parking spaces aretight! Read more

For $199 this combo is so worth it! It’s difficult to find a Japanese restaurant that’s reasonably priced and has good... quality fish in San Diego. Just wish they provide miso soup or small dessert for this combo but otherwise perfect! Read more

Ordered the set menu Kappo by Jun. The most expensive Jun Sama for $59 to try everything. Everything was delicious with a good... portion sizes and plenty to fill up even the most hungry diner. However the Jun San at $42 seems like an amazing value gettingmost of the Jun Sama with the only difference being the scallop and 2 pieces of sushi which I could have passed on. Outdoorcovered patio seating was very nice and wasn’t too crowded. Easily seated on Saturday night without reservations. Service wasfast and friendly. Read more

Chef Jun is an underrated sushi restaurant. It’s now one of my favorite go-to. What I love most is the omakase. You’ll be... presented with multiple dishes that will leave you full and satisfied. They put a unique spin to some of the sushi dishes. Theflavor is very good and you’ll be scheduling your next reservation before your dinner is over. Read more
