A solid Italian place. I liked the meatballs and the ancient grain pasta with tomato sauce. Oh and for sure the bread with olive... oil, that was my favorite. The tuna appetizer was I think overcooked, but maybe I'm too Asian now? The ancient grain pasta washampered by the shrimp and bone marrow. I don't know why bone marrow was in the dish. It is lost in the rich sweet tomato sauceand heavy shrimp. Anyway the tiramisu was decent. Overall a solid place. Read more

We made outdoor seating reservations for Saturday evening and we were seating immediately. We tried the fritelle cacio e pepe,... agnolotti, minestra de mare, tiramisu, ruota menfitata, and chocolate cake. The fritelle cacio e pepe are savory Italian donutsand it was something very different and tasted great! The donuts were nice and crispy and they had a creamy, cheese filling. Wewere told by our waitress the focaccia is also very good but we didn't try it. The entrees were OK - they weren't bad but therewasn't anything particularly exciting or special about them. The minestra de mare was seafood with a light tomato sauce. Mydining companion had this and was underwhelmed and left hungry. The agnolotti was very light and fresh, but at the end of theday, it was just ricotta stuffed pasta with a lemony sauce. The desserts were also OK - there wasn't anything particular specialabout the tiramisu or chocolate cake. The tiramisu is better from Cesarina and the ruota menfitata was like a deconstructedcannoli. Overall, the meal took two hours, which I thought was excessive. The service as a bit slow and our waitress didn't putin our entree order until after we finished our appetizer, which I thought was odd. Plus since the meal was so long and we weresitting outdoor so the outdoor seating was actually quite uncomfortable after 2 hours. Overall, food was OK. There are betteroptions for Italian in San Diego. Read more

Wonderful place, everything was delicious. I recommend getting a full course meal here to get the full experience! The Fritelle... to start was AMAZING. (Savory Italian doughnuts) The main dishes were so flavorful and fresh since everything here is made fromscratch and each piece of pasta is made by hand. The chef is from Sicily so you know it’s going to be authentic! I really likethat they have limited hours and rotating menu, that shows they really focus to deliver quality dishes. Read more

A quaint little Italian restaurant. I swear our server is faking his accent as part of the ambiance because I heard him speaking... perfect English at another table. We had the arancini and the Italian donuts as apps, which were both only ok. The risotto andpappardelle were perfectly cooked, marred only by the lemon and orange peel/zest that threatened but did not quite overwhelm thedishes. It might have been ok with the risotto to balance the braised beef but was extraneous on the pasta. Read more

Really enjoyed our meal at Cori. The server was nice and attentive and answered all our questions. Food was full bodied and... flavorful with a decent but not huge list of options. We went with the classic Pappardelle and the gnocchi. Both were quitetasty. Honestly the standout might have been the appetizer. I think this might have been the best focaccia I’ve ever hadperiod. Highly recommend that and the arancini which were crispy and delicious. Overall a very nice meal. If there was onecritique it’s that when we were asked about getting water we were given three options, only one of which was free. I guessnext time I would just let the customer ask for still or sparkling rather than propose it up front. Read more

This is one of my all time favorite Italian restaurants in SD. The inside seating is intimate and inviting, especially if you... get there before it fills up. Outdoor seating is also a lovely option, as it is heated! Really appreciate that I’m able tomake same day reservations over the phone (6:30ish is the perfect time to arrive imo). Their specials are always delicious, andmy go to is the eggplant parmigiana. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic food, this hidden gem if for you! Such a greatoption for family gatherings, or dates, and the servers are always kind. Also, during the holidays they had a local violinistwho played for each party, and took songs upon request! Restaurant Week menu is too notch!! What a fantastic dining experience! The food was prepared perfectly and the service was... attentive. The food was fresh and came out quickly. Great wine choices too! This was our first visit but we’ll definitely beback. While I did not eat vegetarian tonight, there are plenty of vegetarian options that I look forward to trying in thefuture. Read more

Cute little Italian restaurant located in North Park. Gives off vibes like a neighborhood family cafe. The food was really... tasty. They offer house bread w/dipping sauce which was delicious. I really enjoyed the lamb dish and the pistachio cremebrûlée. Read more
