I used to come here regularly with my family and they have gone severely down hill, especially since COVID. I understand... restaurant staff are under stress, but it seems the high school kids they hire are not competent or trained enough to do theirjob. Their manager Chondra is awesome and my family considers her a friend, but the staff is in need of work. I opened mysandwich this morning, why is this the standard? How am I supposed to eat this? Sadly when the 12.15.21 mask mandate hit I was unaware until stepped into this business morning of 12.16 and had 2 employees... yelling we won't serve you without a mask. Meanwhile the signage in the store stated mask preferred not required. I was notaware of mask mandate. They never asked me single question just ran me out of the store. My first visit to Einstein Bagels in Del Mar since the pandemic was disappointing. The bagels are the same that they always... were, what has changed is the staff. The ones that I encountered were rude and unfriendly. They got my very simple order wrongand it almost felt like my business was an annoyance. One man, who may have been the manager, was friendly and replaced theincorrect order. And the prices have gone way up. Read more
Avoid this place, or just buy plain baguels and prepare them at home. I order 6 baguels, ALL of them where wrong. If you go... there please check your order. Be patient?long waiting time. Used to like this place, never coming back. Try to speak with themanager I was on hold 30 minutes. Read more

AVOID. The so called ?service? is extremely slow and lacking in customer service and professionalism. Came in today and placed a... to go order that was very simple: 3 untoasted bagels and a side of cream cheese to go. 15 minutes later I?m still standingaround waiting. Customers who came in after me are getting their bagels made. After I approach someone at the front and askedabout my order one employee says to the other ?that?s not the only bagel order we have?. Hilarious. As if asking for 3 untoastedbagels to go should take this long amount of time. I didn?t get an apology either. The bagels are good just like any other Einstein Bros. Bagels but customer service is horrible! I?ve been to this place a few... time and they always forget something. One time they forgot to give me the pastry I got along with a bagel so I had to remindthem which isn?t too bad I guess. Today however I ordered a vanilla latte with my bagel and they completely forgot about thecoffee. When I went to remind them they didn?t even apologize. Even after I was already done with my lunch the coffee stillwasnt ready. Again, I ordered vanilla latte which on their scale of ?sweetness? is considered sweet, however the coffee theygave me tasted like black coffee .. I had to toss the whole cup because of them. I hope the management will train theiremployees better but until then I won?t be coming back to this location. Read more
