Reviews for Gaslamp Fish House in San Diego, CA
We stopped by here for a casual dinner on a Friday night. I recommend the shrimp cocktail, scallops entree, and clam chowder. I... didn’t like the crab cake (not enough height and too oily) or the lobster bisque (way too salty to eat). The waitress wasfriendly but the service was extremely slow during the dinner hour. Fish and chips was pretty good. Fries were really crispy and had a seasoning on them I liked, fish batter was crunchy and not... too thick. Came with coleslaw. Cozy spot with a bar, indoor and outdoor seating. Read more
The service was impeccable. Rayne, our server, was great! She was attentive, personable, made great recommendations and answered... all our questions. The food was excellent. From the house specialty drink - Stay Classy San Diego to the fresh fish ceviche, shrimp tacos, and chilled shrimp appetizers to the Salmon and Rockfish main courses, it was all excellent! This is a MUST fordining when in San Diego!!! Read more
Really tasty food. Server and staff were very good at their jobs. One thing the floors were really sticky and other grimy... surfaces...seems like some routine maintenance is needed. Great beer! Read more
Delicious! Great service! Three of us came here for dinner in search of a good seafood and pasta. For an appetizer we ordered... the coconut shrimp. Perfect! It had 6 pieces, so it was easily divided by the three of us. We all three ordered the seafoodpasta Louisiana style in a creamy Tasso ham sauce because we wanted a variety of seafood. It came with mussels and shrimp. Itwas delicious! I would love to return here again someday. Read more
Very friendly service although it was a busy evening. The white sangria was delicious, as well as the black mussels we had as a... starter. The fish was good, but we've had better fish before. Unfortunately they ran out of potatoes that evening, so we had togo with rice, which was okay, but not perfect. All in all, very cool location with good selection of fish, mussels etc. Read more
Great place for happy hour! The oysters are $.125 each and they're pretty fresh! The other happy hour menu items were pretty... good also but would definitely come back for the oysters alone. Read more
Wandered into the restaurant right before a show Friday night and cheerfully greeted by our server, Max. He recommended items... that the kitchen could prepare, so we make the show on time (which we did!). Clam chowder, fish and chips, and garlic breadwere delicious! We will be back! Don't forget to ask for Max!!! Read more
