Decent pizza ???? but not spectacular. Have had much better in NY and London. Chewy dough and smoky mozzarella cubes that I... enjoyed. But the sauce and aubergine topping was just fine. On the other hand lovely waitress and excellent service. I have tothank her for appeasing my pickiness when it came to selecting a wine. Read more
I got off the plane and wanted a cute sidewalk cafe European-like experience. I thought of little Italy and walked down India... street. This was the first of the left and their menu looked good. They made a dreamy cappuccino, I had duo, and I orderedtheir calzone with sliced mushrooms, ricotta and mozzarella. The calzone was big enough for two people and the marinara thatcame with it was very fresh tasting. Very nice, quiet peaceful afternoon. To complete the experience my very nice attentivewaiter Stefano had an Italian accent. Wouldn't mind stopping here again, just what I was looking for. Read more
Margarita pizza was just okay. The crust was delicious, but the sauce had no seasoning. Will try other places for pizza before... returning here. Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. It was cold inside. Wine and margarita were good. Read more
I came into isola with a friend for a late dinner and honestly if I didn’t take pictures of the food, I probably would have... forgotten the entire experience. The restaurant isn’t particularly memorable, the ambiance isn’t really there, and the foodwas very sub par. The pizza was past charred to the point of just being straight burnt. The singular pasta dish was nothingexciting. Overall I just say if you want some pizza and you’re already in little Italy…maybe just go elsewhere. Read more
The pizza is good, not great. The service was average to decent. The restaurant is fairly small but you are not... cramped. Prices are very reasonable. The cheese quality was very good, the crust was good, the tomato sauce was a bit,....Unexciting but not offensive. Nice place to eat some small pizzas neopolitan style with some wine and beer. Great place! The establishment is nice & clean, along with having great service from the waiters/staff & very good pizza... compared to other pizzerias that just specialize in American style pizza. That being said this is a great alternative! Thepizzas here have a very Italian feel & not just the pizza’s but the restaurant as a whole. Among other things this pizza isfresh & tasty, the size of the pizza is great. You don’t really need a huge pizza with huge slices, all you need is onethat’s just right & it should as well feel light after you finish eating it. Sooo should you come here? Definitely! Read more
The bar is a small, cute, could be considered romantic ambiance, and clean place to an Italian dinner. I went with the... intentions to get pizza but stepped out of my comfort zone and got the Gnocci in tomato sauce with eggplant. It was good, but Ifeel it could have been great if it had some Italian seasonings infused in the fish. Cheese was the flavor of the dish whichwas ok, but I came to little Italy looking for Italian aromas and flavors. My son at the Salmon with vegetables, he lovesvegetables but did not enjoy the vegetables with this dish. He said the Salmon was cooked well to his liking. The bathroomswere clean, the wait staff was kind and patient. Our waiter did well for having tables inside and outside, but not the mostattentive. The other staff made up for it by being nearby to help him out. The tables were decorated with a fresh flower,restaurant had dim lighting with a candle at the table so my kids thought the place was set for a romantic mood. Oh the freshbaked bread is worth mentioning, reminded me of Naan bread, it was great! Read more
