I got a half and half plate with katsu and beef and an order of their lumpia? I think that alone costed me like $20 or $24, so... on top of being overpriced the food tasted like absolute garbage. The katsu was flavorless, the beef was tough, the beef didn?teven taste like teriyaki, and the rice was kinda mushy. It was a horrible experience after not going to this place for twoyears. Santee and El Cajon L&L don?t have these problems because as high as they are priced, the flavors are actually worth it. Read more

I called there to order some food. The first time I called, it was busy. Understandable. About 5 mins later, I called again and... get this, the person who answered the phone said "hello!" No identifying who they were, or what establishment I called. It wasjust a hello, as if they were in their own home and someone called the house by mistake. Lol. I used to eat here on a fairly regular basis; maybe once a month. I always received great service, and the food was great. I... went about 3 months ago, and it was only fair. I heard the cashier tell another customer they had new owners. I hadn't beenback until tonight. I thought I'd give the new team time to get it all together. The food tonight was really bad. The ribswere all fat, and also greasy; the rice was flavorless, the mac salad was only fair. That, and the price was about $3. higherthan before. It was so bad, I couldn't finish my meal. I used to really like this place. It has gone downhill. I ordered the kalua pork plate today. It is supposed to come with a... small side of mac salad and two scoops of white rice. Not only did they forget the rice and give me only a bunch of flavorlessmac salad, put the pork was bathing in grease. The grease was leaking out of the box and soaking the bag it was in. The pork wasflavorless to boot. Not to mention, my eyebrows were raised by all the flies surrounding the teriyaki sauce dispenser - whichbtw, isn?t even real teriyaki sauce. New owners per the cashier that just was rude Af. Don?t bother. Place charging 20% more for 20% less of food. I?ve been coming... here for 10years.. this is my last time? shame too, was the last place that was worth something?. Meat is over cooked likeburnt Fish is over cooked and just not good.
