So far I love this place! I ordered (on Door Dash) the iced coffee (crushed ice) and the ice was not melted by the time it came... to my house. It was perfect. The "coffee" is pretty thick and sweet. Pretty much dessert to me! Very yummy. Also got the #87Ham, Bacon, Egg, Cheese CR. It was really good. I love the roll. It's fresh and a tiny bit chewy. Doesn't fall apart with theheat and ingredients. It was all good. And wow, the chicken pâté chaud was a delightful surprise! I took one bite with theintention of just getting a pic. But like an animal w/ no restraint, I just kept eating and eating it! Haha! The pastry meltedin my mouth and the savory filling was really good. I know I am going to be reordering this again and again! The prices are alsogreat. (See pic) Even when ordered for delivery. Can't wait to try the other sandwiches! Read more

**Ask for extra pate and mayo! You?ll thank me later! I?m familiar with Lee?s all too well from its existence in OC my entire... life and I?m not a fan. There are way better places for Banh mi than Lee?s in terms of price, quality and taste. I?m also not afan of baguettes and prefer French bread. My bf is from OC and neither of us have had Lee?s in decades so we decided to try itnow that it?s in San Diego. Expensive? Yes. About $1-$1.50 more than other places. They also don?t have a large selection ofbaked goods like they do in OC. There?s a tiny shelf for hot items. I came at 3pm with my mom and saw a full shelf. Came back at6pm with my bf, and all sold out except for the wings. Besides banh mi, they are known for their coffee. It?s like Starbucks. You can purchase the bottle, coffee beans, and pour overs. You can buy fresh baguettes for $1.75 each and pastries. We got thepork meatball ($6.49) and the combination ($6.49) with extra pate and Mayo. The pork meatball was average. It wasn?t in tomatosauce, it was just a steamed pork meatball and the proportion was not enough compared to bread and veggies. The combinationcame with one type of ham. If you want the three different ham then get the special which would cost $0.50 more. We took ithome and the pork meatball sandwich was already warm due to the meatball. The combination sandwich was getting hard and that?swhy I don?t like baguettes. I popped it in the toaster oven for a few minutes to warm up for that extra crunch and it tasteddelicious. The key is to eat it when it?s hot and get extra pate and mayo to keep it from drying out. We also got chickenwings. Basically $1 each because it was 5 for $4.99. We got 10. Wasn?t thrilled to actually see the guy grab the frozen bag ofwings and popping it in the fryer. They were tiny. $0.50 wing would be more like it and it tasted like original KFC. Which Ithought was pretty good. Overall, there?s nothing special about Lee?s. You can get the same thing else Read more

Good location, easy parking. Went here to grab lunch on a Wednesday and the wait wasn't too bad, 13min for 2 sandwiches. There... are tables inside and outside but I don?t see any employee wiping them down after each customer. I ordered #11 and #6. The meatis good but I think the bread needs to be baked a little longer; it's kinda thick/doughy and too hard instead of light/crisp. Their "Banh Tieu" is very good. Sesame ball is good but pricey. Update: 2nd time coming here and now I can say the meat they putin is consistently not enough. Even my 7yr old daughter said there wasn't much meat in the $7 Banh Mi. Read more

Despite the reviews here, I went to check it out. Nice atmosphere, good grilled chicken bah mi and the sandwiches were fresh. I... even tried the coffee signature. They're good. I only waited 5minutes for my order and dined in. Staff were friendly. People arein and out of here ordering. Not really busy. Nice place. Read more

Im very disappointed. things looks right but are just off... the sandwich is huge...but taste bland like no salt and there was... the smallest sliver of pate. the Vietnamese coffee tastes good, but is 90% ice. if this place wants to stay in business...itbetter step its game up. there are like a bunch of other shops that way better in terms of taste and costs less. You might aswell go to Cali Baguette Express if you're in this area. they don't have pate, but their sandwichs taste better than these Read more

Got the special #11. Lacks serious protein and dough was a little tough, my jaw hurts while eating. My colleague and I wanted to... try on their second day of opening, we got in ljne at 12:20pm ended up waiting 32 minutes in line to order 2 sandwiches and 28minutes to get it. All in all, it took a full hour to get a bite. Totally understaffed, speaker wasn't working so the runnerhad to go around asking checking on people's numbers because she has a tiny voice, bathroom and place is a mess. I wouldn't comeback again with this experience, rather drive a bit more to K Sandwich (at least they get it done under 15 mins in person andtake phone orders). Read more
