Me and some friends stopped by for a quick bite in the evening, I ordered the birria burrito. I enjoyed the flavor of the birria... but didn’t end up liking French fries in my burrito so it killed the overall taste for me. Place was nice to sit in and enjoythe decor but expected more out of the food menu. Read more

I went here based on the reviews. The food was really good and I especially liked the burritos. I tried their new Seafood... Burrito with shrimp. It was really delicious and i like the creamy pink sauce which had a sweetness to it. Their popularCilantro Salsa sauce is also the best too. Read more

What a fun place to eat at. I love the decor, that exact balance between the pink walls, gold picture frames and the masculine... theme of Lucha libre. I had the cauliflower queso tacos, and I was impressed. Their sauce game is on point. The chips with thecilantro sauce are delicious and then the creamy chipotle “secret” sauce is the perfect compliment to the crunchy cheese andperfectly cooked cauliflower. I’ll definitely continue coming back to this place. Read more

First time in this branch and it continues to exceed expectations. Adore their surf and turf burritos with extra crispy... cheese. It is a bit expensive compared to local competition, and when I order 2 burritos I also expect 2 bags of chips, butoverall still love it and continue to come back. Read more

Lucha Libre Gourmet Taco Shop: I've wanted to give this place a try since first seeing it on an episode of Man V. Food back in... 2010. There are three locations in Southern California, with the North Park location being the most convenient for me to visitwhile on vacation. Lucha Libre is a fast-casual Mexican restaurant themed after Mexican professional wrestling. The restaurantis decorated in vibrant colors and even offers a golden "champions booth" to eat in. I'm more of a burrito than taco guy, so Iwent with the basic California Burrito (tortilla, steak, French fries, sour cream, Pico de Gallo, Jack Cheese, and addedavocado). My burrito was both massive and tasty. In regards to the taste, my only suggestion is it could have used a little morecheese (but I'm a WI Cheesehead so most people would probably have found the amount of cheese to be just fine). I found theFrench fries to be a unique twist, but they did not impact the flavor as much as I had hoped (overpowered by some of the otheringredients). The steak was excellent and the avocado fresh. Now for some of the cons. For starters, the service the night I wasthere (11/9/21) could have been better. I placed my order online and when I went to the counter to pick it up I was ignored byboth staff members working. Neither of them said "I will be right with you" or "just a minute". After standing around for acouple minutes I was the one that initiated the conversation by saying I had an order for pick-up. Secondly, I did find a hairon my burrito. Before any of you accuse me of saying it was mine I should point out that the Doughboy has short red hair andthis was a long black hair..... I'm not sure when the next time is that I will visit the San Diego area, but I will probably betrying a different Mexican restaurant as Lucha Libre was a little disappointing. Such a rad atmosphere and awesome decor. Food was really good and reasonably priced. The burrito was pretty big and tasty. They... have bottled beer as well. Seating was limited but we found a seat pretty easily. Read more
