I tried the cold brew half sweet with almond milk. This is a very good place to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.
A pretty chill and relaxed Philz. The Highlands is usually busy, and this Philz is no exception -- it's usually busy, especially... around afternoons. Parking is convenient. Sometimes service is slightly slow (up to 10-15m wait) if there are many people, butall the staff are pretty friendly and all wear masks. Very convenient ordering on the app and having your order ready to go! Ilike trying the various Philz specialties. While the most classic Philz drink is the mint mojito "the Philz way", there are avariety of other tasty specialties. It's also great how oat milk is the default for many drinks, and they don't charge extra forit. Sometimes there's some variation with the drinks, but the baristas are happy to modify if you ask. It's spacious inside andoutside, where there's a shaded patio area, though all tables may be filled during peak times. If you're able to find a seat(and usually I can, with people drifting in and out), it's nice to work in (if you don't mind it being a bit busy and loud attimes). Read more

They specialize in coffee I know and ?real? aficionados take their coffee black I?m told. But PLEASE - offer high quality,... organic milks for the rest of us. AltaDena cream (????) and almond milk out of the box... not cool. The rest of coffee shops inarea at least use Straus milks and some even make their own nut milks. Organic. The food is quite unremarkable. Eggs were paleyellow, not tasty. Food not made on premises so not very fresh. Tried a specialty coffee, was smooth but came with a mint leafinfused ????hmmm, strange. First impressions of Philz is it's trendy & the coffee prices are inexpensive. I enjoyed the atmosphere inside to chat with... family. I ordered the Tesora "philz way " & the coffee was bitter even after I added two more splenda sweetners. (Side note theydon't serve any blended coffee drinks.) Cute shop just not a fan of the coffee.
