Ventured to the Prado and took a break from visiting nearby museum. My girlfriend and I had a good meal and fun. My only grip... was that an old bat rolled her eyes at my girlfriend and I, it must of hurt her feelings that we ate at the same restaurant asher. Other than that the crowd of people was good. Service: Customer service was great and the young lady who took our orderwas kind. Food: Plenty of options of items to eat, food was tasty and filling. Environment: Prado has a lot of space to dine in,you can eat inside or on the patio. The day was beautiful so we chose to eat on the patio over looking a beautifulgarden. Restroom: The Prado doesn't have a restroom inside their restaurant, so you will need to venture outside the courtyard, which is located across from the Prado (less than a minute walk). Read more

I planned a day at Balboa Park recently that included visits to multiple museums and a nice lunch at Prado restaurant on a... recent Saturday afternoon. I never visited Prado before and wanted to treat my family to good food. That day was special becauseour son who has Celiac Disease was with us. Because of his disease we only rarely go out to eat with him unless the restauranthas a strict gluten free menu that includes not only gluten free ingredients but also has a process in place to avoid crosscontamination of food. Our host and server explained their process to our satisfaction and ordered some food. The food wasspectacular as expected and the service was top notch. Prices were a little bit higher than expected but everything is expensiveso no complaints here. The best thing I can report is that my son didn't get sick from eating gluten and that says a lot. We hada great time !!. Thank you for providing safe menu options for people with Celiac Disease and other disorders. Highlyrecommended. We will be back when in the area. Read more

Nice outside patio with good food and service! Service and welcome: we got to Prado around 12 pm. The entire team was friendly... and we were seated right away. Our server was great! Food: the burger was awesome and so was the Arugula Salad. See pictures, Ihighly recommend both. Price: $18 for a burger is on the high side… but was worth it. This is not your fast food burger! It’s a juicy Kobe burger! Also, if you got food from the zoo the day before, then this price will seem just normal???? Recommendation: if you are visiting all the museums in this area, stop by, try the burger and fries! Worth it in myopinion! Read more

Attentive Service in a Beautiful Setting. We appreciate server Marisa & the rest of The Prado team for ensuring we had a... wonderful time celebrating a birthday. The outdoor patio is such a lovely setting in the middle of the park. The black beansoup, arugula salad & flan were delicious. We hope to see a vegan entree on the menu next time! Read more

Great San Diego outdoor patio dinning with great food. Everything came out exceptional. Eating on the patio in balboa park at... the Prado is a mini vacation in itself! Sandwiches are only available at lunchtime. My only complaint is they add an extra 4%surcharge because prices have increased; I wish the prices on the menu reflect that instead of adding the extra 4% at the end. Read more

We ate lunch here a few years ago and according to my wife I was underwhelmed. Tonight we were tired from trekking around balboa... Park so we decided to give it a go for dinner. We were not disappointed!. The Pradoritas were fabulous. Our server Alex was topnotch. I had the braised short ribs, my wife the sea bass. The presentation was eye popping, and the sauces wereexquisite. Great desserts and coffee to finish off. Loved the ambiance. 10/10 would go again. Read more

My favorite restaurant in San Diego. I'm a San Diego Native and recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly! The waitstaff is... amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and quick to serve you. Everything I've had at this restaurant has beenwell-prepared and full of flavor. Portions are just right; it is on the pricey side, but the food is worth it. The ambiance isdelightful, warm and welcoming. You will not regret dining here. Restaurant is a great choice for lunch as well. Ask for apatio table! Read more

Good place for a lunch while visiting Balboa Park. The food was pretty good and the service was awesome. The patio had a nice... view. My entree salad lacked balance, being way to heavy on the vinegar and nothing to offset the tartness. My wife had theMahi fish sandwich, which was delicious. The bread was a small baguette, served warm with butter. And, the Guava lemonade wassuper refreshing and delicious. I'd recommend this place and would go again. Read more
