Don't go on weekends or lunch time cause it's busy and if you happen to sit down, you will not enjoy your meal, cause the... waitresses will start giving you the look, like they need to turn the table over..I thought the first time was ok, 2nd. timearound the waitress put the ticket down on table and we were not happy, such a rush, they should move into a bigger locale, thenputting costumer's out that way, and it's not cheap either..welcome to sunny paradise, San Diego Read more

I have tried Sam Woo at a lot of different locations, even the old one in China Town Los Angeles. This one is a small version... of other locations but the staff made up for it. The food is at good standard, trusted place with trusted food. But the ladyserver at this location is so sweet and friendly. It made me feel like I am eating at my Auntie's place, warm and welcoming. CASH ONLY. The restaurant is located in the same building as the Ranch 99 supermarket. We got the duck and BBQ pork lomein... entree. It came with a cup of chicken broth and two small pieces of bok choy. The pork was tasty and lean. The duck wasmostly bones and very little meat. We would not order an entree with duck again. The food is good, but not a great value forthe prices charged compared with other nearby restaurants. Read more

The worst Cantonese food I have ever eaten in my life. I understand that the Asian Food became sweeter in US. But the sauce was... too sweet with the meat and rice. Authentic Cantonese food. Recommended their BBQ pork and duck. Location is super convenient. It is in the 99 ranch market. Also... it close at 11pm. Great place to have a feast when you are super hungry. Their to go bento is great portion with lots of foodselection. Usually I can separate one bento into 2 meals. Read more
