I came for dinner after work with my co-workers and I must say The Barrel Room did not disappoint. We sat at a bar table and... had Laurie as our bartender/server. She was great, very attentive throughout our dining experience. She always made sure ourwaters were filled, and plates were bussed, and wine was full! The food was delicious, I ordered the jambalaya. It was a perfectlevel of spicy and was filled with flavorful vegetables, chicken, and sausage. I ended my meal with the coconut passion fruitpannacotta. Perfect amount of tart and sweet, very delicious! The whole ambiance was great. I will be back! Read more

The new Barrel Room in Carmel Valley is awesome ... great ambiance which is upbeat but still intimate, friendly and great... service, and of course the food and wine selections outstanding. Next stop the Mason Ale works next door. Highly recommended! Read more

My wife and I visited the night they opened. We had a little trouble parking but saw the valet after the fact. We sat at the... bar met Bret one of the Managers and Vanessa waited on us. Both of them get 5 star ratings for knowledge, friendliness andservice. Exactly what you want in a local restaurant! We had appetizers that were unique and tasty, my Pinot Noir was on pointand they had a good selection of rye whisky for my wife's Old Fashion. We will be back to try the full menu soon! Read more

When I heard 3LB group was going to put some of their concepts in Merge, I was super-excited and years later, they're here and... they're beautiful. We went during their first busy Friday and other than a gruff reception from the stressed-out young womanworking front-of-house, the rest of the meal and service was exemplary. The menu is a little small, but well prepared; the wineprogram kicks ass and the beers from next door's Mason Ale Works were solid. Welcome to the neighborhood, TBR!! Read more
