Had to pleasure of eating last night at Top of the Market, there was three of us, we was seated right away with a great view of... bay, right across from two aircraft carriers in bay! Had a great experience dinning in. Went on a Saturday at 7 and was told all the tables were booked and I would have to sit at... the bar. I thought it might worsen the experience, but I had a great time. Yvonne the bartender was very welcoming andhelpful. The food was great. Got the Tuna crudo, the halibut and the almond cake. All of them top notch with complex flavorsand perfectly prepared. Wine list is also very complete. Recommended for sure. Read more
Just after sunset bay view on the patio, French rosé, well made halibut and cioppino! What else do you need :). Liked the... zucchini on top of the halibut. Waiter was attentive and music and atmosphere was very relaxing. Topped it off with chocolatepot de creme and almond cake with gelato. Very nice experience. Read more
Unplanned stop at top of the market today. There's not much to say other than I had the best piece of halibut I've ever had... tonight that even Gordon Ramsey would have approved of. My wife's scallops were perfect as well. Sit at the bar for greatservice and conversation! Read more
Spectacular! Very busy but with no reservations, a party of 6, we waited about 30 minutes. Not bad at all. The clam chowder was... on point. The server brought us hot water bc it was definitely chilly. We had the shrimp linguini, sea bass, and fish and chips.All excellent! Read more
This is one of our favorite fine dining experiences. The food was so flavorful and absolutely delicious. Everything we tried... impressed us. There was no weak link. We had an appetizer but i came remember what it was. So I know is it was good! My husbandhad the octopus. It wasn't an entrée option but they indulged and created a plate for him. I had the salmon. We finisheddinner of with a dessert platter. The view was gorgeous. It's a nice location on top of a market situated right on the bay.The huge windows just added to the feel as we ate and watched the sun set. The drinks were a little strong for my taste but Iknow that's a plus for others. Read more
Great and friendly staff. Yvonne our server did a fantastic job. Stay with the seafood. My wife had the scallops which were... great. I had the sirloin and was so so. We got lucky with parking so go early if you can. They do have valet but was full whenwe got there at 4pm. Upscale, so be prepared to spend. Great for a birthday, anniversary etc. Read more
1 omission on their part made me give them a 4 but overall experience was great. Polite bartender, great restaurant and... accomodating host. Food was great, so was the champagne and wine. Totally worth a second trip even though it was my first timethere. Read more
