Memorial Day Weekend I decided to throw a Pizza Party at Tribute Pizza, North Park and take the crew to do a Restaurant Review.... And all I can say is: I'm glad I did. I usually drink wine, but this time around I ordered a Mezcal d'India. One drink. GreatPear Profile. It was truly a great drink. I would go back there for this drink. lol When you go, ask for Lisa. Normally, I letthe chef pick my menu. This waitress knows her stuff and won't steer you wrong! Actually there is nothing normal about thisplace (lucky for you)! I will tell you what we ordered because everything we ordered was good. That's so unusual at a Pizzaplace, but so true. We booked a 4:30pm dinner, and although most people are eating hot dogs and hamburgers on Memorial DayWeekend, by the time we left, 2 hours later, this place was packed! With all the great food choices in North Park, I'mtellingyou, this is one of the top choices! Onto the food (can you imagine we are this much into the Review and we haven't eventouched on the food yet)? lol We ordered a bread with fresh burrata appetizer. Nice. Gigi says: "The star of the show for mewas the burrata. It was absolutely divine and had amazing richness". Brussel Sprouts and a Kale Salad are the big winners here.Two things: I don't normally eat Brussel Sprouts because they always come burnt and that's carcinogenic (cancer causing). Thesewere roasted and beautifully flavored deliciously. Beautifully flavored deliciously? You bet! Probably my favoriteBrusselSprouts in all of San Diego. And usually, a Kale Salad is boring or just ok. His dish is called: "I Kale, I Saw, IConquered. Conquer he did! The dressing and texture of this dish was ah-mazing. A great compliment to the pizza. Out of this world pizza place with great unique combinations. Have their house made focaccia for sure (with burrata!) and then... ask for their omakase pizza. Chef made one with salsa verde for us that was one of the best flavors I’ve had in a while. Read more
Scrumptious pizza and great service. Our group had a lot of questions, which were all answered patiently by our waiter. Every... pizza we tried was delicious, however, the classic combo supreme stood out to us as absolutely delicious. Reasonable prices forthe quality of food. This place is super amazing!!! I didn’t know it’s that good even though the Yelp review is already pretty high. It is even... better than I thought. We ordered the 5 mushroom pizza, it’s quite yummy, with ricotta cheese on the top. The dough is notthick, more on a light taste side, I love it. The Kale salad is probably one of the top 5 salads in my life. It’s beautifullike a garden, it tastes like a heaven. The most important and impressive thing is that we met an amazing bartender, his name isScott. He made super duper rye whiskey cocktails. I believe he’s probably good with other liquors too. Unique and delicious with something for everyone - I got the fig and goat cheese weekly special (with balsamic reduction, and... prosciutto bits glazed with hot honey), for takeout. The restaurant was really hot inside even at 7:30PM, but it had a coolvibe. There is some outdoor seating as well.
