"Cafe de Olla y Conchas" a great way to start the morning!
Dine in for breakfast and ordered a ham and egg breakfast burrito, sweet bread and Horchata. I also asked the cashier of a new... bread item with sesame Seeds that look delicious upon asking the cashier stated she had no idea and did not bother askinganother employee. I myself walked over to another employee who informed me the bread is stuffed with cheese and chili (would'veloved to try out but I already paid for my items). After having a seat i was overwhelmed by how hot it was inside and noticedthe temp was showing as 91 degrees ????I asked the same previous employee if she could lower the temp she responded with thatshe would ask and nothing was done. As my family and I continued to sweat while trying to eat our food my son's Horchata spilledall over due to the lid not properly being closed ????I proceeded to clean up our mess with some napkins and advised the sameemployee cashier of our mess, she refilled our cup but never intervined with helping clean up the mess. I decided to walk to therestroom and grab some paper towels and a Yellow caution the floor is wet sign to place on the floor myself. We left afterseveral employees failed to help and just passed without helping . The lack of attention, not knowing the food productinformation, ac accommodation and lack of assistance is what I based my over all rating. Photos attached . Read more
The service was really gd the people were really nice. The food on the other hand was pretty bad. My wife got a torta de... milanesa and the meat was like rubber and she couldn't eat it. My son got a torta de jamon y queso which should have had beansbut it had like 3 tiny drops on it. I had tacos de asada which weren't to bad but definitely not worth the $25 for 5 tacos. TheAguas frescas were so watered down they had no flavor at all. We were honestly pretty disappointed with the food especially atthe prices they charge, 4 tortas, 5 tacos and 4 drinks cost me $117. Looking for a quick bite and this bakery was just around the corner. Food is good and comforting however I felt like I was... nostalgic about the good old Gallo Giro flavors from like 13 years ago ???? Flavor wise food was good but not great,neverthelessit has potential ! I only go to the bakery. The food on the other hand is plain in my opinion. For being a Mexican business it just doesn't have... those flavors that most people love. I mean the food could be better. I usually just buy conchas and bread here. The staff isfriendly most of the time. They also have an outdoor patio area if you don't have been vaccinated. I'm not sure if this placeis pet friendly so leave your furry friends at home. On special occasions or holidays, this place can get quite busy so orderahead of time. This place is wonderful and has so many good food items including bakery, entrees, and desserts. We come here for the gallon of... horchata, which is 100% worth the price. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and this is definitely the best place to gofor authentic Mexican treats. Read more
