Always love visiting Amicis for pizza. It was my first time at this location and loved how spacious it was. Service was fast and... friendly. I ordered the Amicis combo and Philly pizza. Love grabbing pizza at Amici?s on a foggy day in the bay! I love seeing their pizza ovens as soon as I enter. The smell is... intoxicating, and the flavors are so good! My boyfriend and I were excited to try a new place to eat after having an adventure out in San Francisco. We came here on a... Tuesday night and it wasn't very busy. It was kind of awkward standing there because none of the workers greeted us. That asidewe got to choose were we wanted to sit. We got the mac n cheese with bacon and milano pizza. The mac n cheese was so good and sowas the milano pizza. I'm giving this place 3 stars because of the service. The first pizza that came out did not have bacon onit and the waiter handled it poorly. When I asked him about it he was dismissive and said that the bacon is thinly sliced. Butafter he left I thought to myself...so where is the bacon then? I jumped onto yelp to see pictures of the milano pizza andcompared it to the pizza I got. You could clearly see bacon in the photo. I asked the waiter again and showed him the pictureand asked where is the bacon on the pizza, he pointed to my phone and said the bacon is there...I said but where is it on thepizza here? He obviously couldn't find it because none was there. So he offered a new pizza or free dessert. We got the pizzaagain since we came a long way and I wanted to try it the right way. So when he put the order in he said milano pizza with extrabacon and mind you we were sitting close to where the waiter picks up the food. I thought to myself how unnecessary that was andthe fact that he said extra bacon when there was no bacon on the first pizza at all. Then he goes to his two coworkers andobviously talked about us because they both employees looked over at our table. TLDR I liked the food, but it was pricey. Don'tlike the service. Read more
One of the very few places where you can get a red clam pizza. A red sauce slice of clam pie is all I want sometimes. On that... note, good luck trying to find a Manhattan clam chowder in the Bay Area too. Anyways I digress, solid clam pizza. Nothing towrite home about but good considering it?s chain beginnings. A healthy portion of clams in a good tomato sauce. Some nice charon the crust and thats all you need. Mostly really good, I am normally a huge crust lover but I didn?t care for the crust this time, the actual crust part that... toppings don?t touch seemed really chewy like when steak gets over cooked and you just keep chewing. So I just ate everythingbut the crusts. Pretty good otherwise, the toppings are great and the Amici?s Combo with all the meats kind of smells like oneof my favorite smoked sausages. Read more
