One of their most popular dishes is clam chowder! Tasty and filling! You can also order from the variety of sourdough bread... options. I tried the clam chowder for the first time and can still remember the creamy texture! My friend ordered a breakfastwaffle while I picked up a root beer to go with it. Read more

Such a cool bakery to visit if you have the time in San Francisco. From the fun shaped loaves, to the good coffee, they have a... nice place to relax and see a staple of the bay. They are a bit more on the pricey side for bread, but it is as you would expectfor a very touristy area. Would recommend to check it out if you are in SF for the first time ! Read more

The clam chowder was average. Had better in other restaurant along big sur. But the bread dough for pulled pork, pizza and beef... roast sandwich were good. Staff was friendly overall. Food was served quickly. Queue to order was also fast moving. Read more

Great place for lunch! The sourdough was unbelievably delicious. My boyfriend had the clam chowder and said it was good, but not... the best he had tried in SF. They give you free bread and whipped butter which was a nice touch. They also have an area upstairswhere you can watch the bread making magic happen. Gets very busy but we only had to wait 5 minutes before we were seated at atable. Very enjoyable. Read more

Fantastic food and service. The crab cake sandwich, crab and corn bisque (in a bread bowl, of course) and the crab mac and... cheese were superb. The wine selection was great too. The menu has something for everyone. Our table had a great view and ourwaiter was so friendly and super attentive despite it being very busy. 100/10 experience! Read more

Such a cool place! It was very crowded and busy when we went, but service was still friendly and quick. Recommend their bread... bowls if you’re going to eat there! The clam chowder bread bowl was good, and we also got a turtle loaf (so cute). Thebuilding is set up great, you can watch bread transported around in baskets on a conveyor belt, and they have all sorts of breadcreations to try. The best part is going up their stairs and onto the observation deck they have above their workings who aremaking and baking the dough. It is fascinating to watch the machinery and all that they do. It doesn’t open until 12 though. Read more

Yum the restaurant was great! We all had soup in a bread bowl and they were all delicious! We ordered the crab, spinach and... artichoke dip and all of it was super! We also had the crab cake with corn and gelato. They were packed but still managed toget us in and out and we didn’t have to wait long for anything. If you go I recommend you do an early lunch or dinner toavoid the meal time crowd. Don’t forget to stop in the bakery for you loaf of sour dough bread! Read more

The crab soup was surprisingly good. My wife enjoyed the clam chowder as well. And my daughter loved her tomato bisque. All... the soups were good. The bread was sourdough but not the kind that has to prove itself to you by tasting like a straight lemondied inside. Just a slight sourdough flavor, very pleasant. The location is good and large enough to seat a lot of people. Thewait staff was attentive and nice. We'd go back here for sure if we were visiting San Francisco again. Read more
