We were celebrating our friend's 70th Birthday. Fior d'Italia greeted us with a warm "welcome home". Our food was amazing, the... atmosphere in the restaurant cozy, the piano player very nice. I am so happy we found this restaurant by accident. ? Read more

Such a great experience dining here!!! We went because Atlas Obscura recommended it as the literal oldest continually running... Italian restaurant in the entire United States. We had high expectations, after all, restaurants tend to have a pretty highturnover rate. We were not disappointed. Vibes were exactly what we expected, the servers were friendly and available, the menuhad almost too many options to choose from, and the cherry on top was all the old Italian locals hanging out by the bar - itmade you wonder for how long they had been frequenting this establishment. We got the rack of lamb and lasagna, both wereabsolutely incredible. For dessert we had the cannoli and the creme caramel, both also exquisite. Fresh food, realistic pricesfor the city, and an amazing experience that you won't forget at an historic establishment. Read more

absolutely adore this restaurant! the staff are exceptionally amazing and caring, so friendly and made us feel like we were... consistent regulars despite it being our first time. they even brought a heater outside for me as it was chilly and i was in adress, then checked in to make sure i was warm enough. to my surprise i ended up getting proposed to by my now fiancé! when icame inside everyone wanted to see the ring and was excited for us! it was very sweet! they took our picture in front of one oftheir banquet room murals, which is what we sent to our family and friends to announce our engagement! i will definitely treasure the experience forever. can’t wait to return here and make it a tradition! Came here late and fortunately they were still seating people! A quick meal with a basket of calamari, mussels and clams, black... rice risotto with clams and calamari, osso bucco, chicken something (I forgot) and lasagne. Clams and calamari plate was a biton the salty side but all else was fine. Service was efficient and attentive. Not bad for a Saturday night and definitelycrowded. Nice to visit an old spot once in a while or play tourist! ???? Read more

The place was really amazing as well as the staff but it’s kind got a bar there and a game was going on so it was a bit loud... with some tipsy people. Other than that me and my significant other were very fortunate to get there before the hot peak hourswhere there was a huge line to be seated. We got a window seat. The staff were very friendly and attentive asking if we wereokay, needed anything, and how was the food. Don’t get me started on the food you have to go there, try it, and be blown awaybecause the flavor combinations are superb truly. Some of the most amazing Italian food I have tried thus far. Delicious food and quality products. The host was extremely friendly and the server polite. They seemed short staffed, having... only two servers on in the main dining room. I gave 4 stars as the service was good but not great, likely because of the limitedstaff scheduled. I'd definitely go back for the food. Yum! Read more

We had a great dinner at Fior d’Italia by chance, and we’re glad to have experienced this classic restaurant! With a party... of 10 looking for a place to eat on a Friday night near Fisherman’s Wharf, the Fior d’Italia was able to accommodate ourgroup at short notice and offered a great dining experience for our entire group which included adults and teens. Therestaurant is in an historic hotel (the San Reno Hotel, which is said to be haunted!). It was a charming Victorian stylebuilding and traditionally decorated. It’s a large venue with multiple rooms and a full bar. The Italian servers that we hadgave an authentic vibe to the dining experience and were responsive and pleasant. The food was enjoyed by the entire party. Wehad one dish come out considerably cooler than the rest, but the server was able to get it heated up quickly to resolve theissue. I had the lasagna which was presented differently than what I’m used to, but it was still delicious. They also providednice fresh bread before the meal. They had a nice wine list and had good options for cocktails. The old fashioned was verygood. This is a great place to get a hearty traditional Italian meal at a classic location! PS - we didn’t see anyghosts…unfortunately. Read more
