Read some great reviews about this place so I wanted to try it out.\nIn my opinion, the prices are a bit on the expensive end... for sandwiches. Comes with a sandwich and slices of pickles.\nThe portion size is plenty tho. The sandwich comes cut in half. Icould only eat one half per sitting.\nGreat taste. Read more

Get the Praise Cheezus and add ham - trust me! This is the type of small biz that gladdens my heart to support. Grant and his... family have an amazing deli and treat their customers with such care. He threw in cookies for us as first time visitors to thestore and graciously gave us his recommendations even as a line formed behind us. We?ll be back - thanks again for thehospitality :) Read more

How have I not gone here sooner? This is definitely the best sandwich spot in the neighborhood. If only I weren\'t moving away!... You should go here though. Check out the beautiful house plant shop next door too.\n\nI got the wild mushroom sandwich, delicious ham and cheeses, the bread was perfect, great flavor combinations, large portion, fresh and pickled veggies, qualityingredients, perfect proportions of the various ingredients..it was so good I wanted to write a review while I was eating myfirst bite. A lot of things on the menu looked great, and the pastries looked enticing too.\n\nI\'m not really a sandwichperson.. usually (other places) the bread is too dry and they\'re kinda sad. These are definitely not your average sad sandwich.Happy sandwiches with fun names are here. Also they made it in proper sandwich layers (not little wads here and there), so youget some of everything in each bite.\n\nIt\'s great to have a delicious, casual spot that has a real chef (one that actuallycares what things taste like). He was super nice too and gave me a peanut butter cookie since it was my first time there. Ihaven\'t eaten it yet since I\'m too full after that beast of a meal. It smells great though. Thanks Grant!! Read more

Randomly went to this little jem of a place and was happily surprised. We went because of the pictures online and were totally... glad we did. Bomb a$$ sandwiches made with high quality meats, cheeses, fresh bread and love. Empañadas were cute anddelicious! The owner was friendly, food made to order, quick orders. A fun bonus was the FREE OLD SCHOOL ARCADE GAMES! Superawesome! Highly recommend, even if you need to make a special trip. We had the \" Paul Ruben \", Shrooms over my hammy, abreakfast sandwich, empanadas, a HUGE pretzel with delicious dipping cheese and mustards. We ended up buying a jar of themustard! Also 2 made to order kids sandwiches so they were happy. The only pic I remembered to take was of leftovers. Stilldelicious! Thank you Ham and Cheese, until next time Read more

Delicious neighborhood deli sandwiches! Large variety of deli sandwiches including solid vegetarian and kids options, good... selection of baked goodies, and surprisingly good coffee. Service was courteous and friendly, they gave the kiddo free cookiessince it was our first time. The bread was also absolutely delicious, from Panorama bakery, toasted just enough that is ittoasty yet still super soft. We tried the Jambon te Fromage, the California (with hot mustard) and the Joe Formaggio. All werethoroughly enjoyed by the whole family including doggie who wolfed whatever ham dropped from the toddler?s sandwich. Read more

Full disclosure: I?m Grant?s Mustard Guy. But eating there today only confirmed his ???????????????????? rating on here is... legit. I love his take on classic sandwiches. Willa and I ordered three just to get as many bites as poss. Each was better thanthe last. The Tomato Soup was a show stopper. No spoon required. Just drank it from the cup. Perfect balance of acid and sweettomatoes ????????????????????.\nTruth is, Chef Grant himself is the real deal. A native San Franciscan, dude slings some of thebest Sammies I?ve ever had - with heart, humour and a heavy dollop of talent. A true Deli Man.\n\nLove Kathy?s plant shop nextdoor too. What a cool set up. Deli and Plants. Only in this magnificent city by the Bay. Can?t recommend this place highlyenough. Read more

This place was SO good. We wanted a sandwhich on the way to the airport, walked in to the friendliest owner - Grant. While... waiting for our sandwiches, he asked our favorite cookie (chocolate fudge) and gave it to us for free since it was end of theirhours! So nice and the cookie was a great appetizer. You can tell grant loves what he does and is the nicest guy. I wish thisplace was in Minnesota because I would be going here every week. I got the California sandwhich and highly recommend it. Gohere, you won?t be disappointed by the food or the friendly service!!! Would give 6 stars if I could Read more
