We were attracted by the creativity of the menu - wouldn’t expect to see lamb skewers on the ramen anywhere else, as much as... coconut in the soup base - but turned out to be pretty delicious! It was a bit hard to tell what the ramen would taste like, despite all the ingredients listed in the menu - hope this review helps resolve two of the mysteries. The Jaeger came with thelamb skewers and the soup was doubtless Japanese curry flavor - you also got the carrots and potatoes :) The K. O. was atraditional tonkatsu ramen as described - very rich pork bone soup that was surprisingly not salty, so satisfying sipping it,and the meat was decently tender. P.S. The restaurant was relatively small so could be a bit of wait during peak time. Read more

Great food, our order came surprisingly fast. The tonkatsu broth is very flavorful and the marinated meat was on point, best... meal I have had in a while. Karaage is crispy outside and tender inside, but no seasoning and imo the aioli might be better onthe side. This place is small, somewhat dimly lit, with friendly staff and trendy upbeat music loud enough to muffle theconversation the next table over. Would come again Read more

We walked here from Japantown to build our appetities....and were not disappointed at all. The food lived up to the other... reviews and our own anticipation. The vast array of interesting and daring offerings made me a little nervous because it's rarethat a kitchen can do so much while maintaining quality and consistency but EVERYTHING WE ATE WAS STELLAR. Service was timelyfor such a busy place and helpful when we had questions or concerns. We're returning again soon, but definately for mybirthday....it's that good. Read more

I have mixed feeling on Kaiju Eats, been here three times over the past three years, and never been blown away. The ramen is... about average, but the saving grace is the appetizers. I really loved the Karaage and the Gyoza. The house tea always freshlybrewed. Easily a 4-stars from me, if not for the fact that I was sitting on the throne for an hour that very night... this wasmy only big meal of the day. Coincidence or just bad Godzilla juju? TBD... The lady who was maitre d', manager and waitress all rolled into one, was really helpful. We were to arrive at closing time, so... she took our order on the phone and had a table waiting for us, and the food arrived in a couple of minutes. We ordered a tofuwith teriyaki sauce appetizer (substituted with soft not fried tofu, which made it really great), the kimchee and tempura ramenwith coconut broth, and three delectable slices of salmon sashimi. I drank a Sapporo on tap and my wife had their smoky,no-caffeine rice (or, maybe corn) extract tea that was just so delicious. Small place that seats about 20 people, highlyrecommend! Read more
