As soon as I walked in, the low budget chairs and tables plus oddly arranged working area tipped me off that it was either going... to be incredibly awesome or really bad. Fortunately, this place turned out to be absolutely amazing. I think they topped myfavorite local places, which are excellent. First, service was superb. ‘Fern’ greeted kindly, offered suggestions andpatiently described some differences in how they make the Tom Yum more traditionally. She sold me on it, and it blew me away.I’m almost always a Tom Kha kinda person, but I would come here every day for this style, it’s not just clear broth but ithas milk (and probably other secret ingredients) added to have a delicious circus of flavor. She asked how hot and I said‘Thai medium.’ I felt like noodles and although Pad Thai isn’t usually my favorite in the States, I felt like trying it.To my amazement, Fern asked me about how sweet and how spicy I prefer- these questions are never asked with Pad Thai- usuallyit’s just served here bland and without much depth of flavor. I was excited to see if I got something other than the few1-star reviews reported. Soup came first. Oh my god, this Tom Yum was so perfect to my taste and loaded with all sorts ofcolors and mouth feel, I couldn’t believe it was so good. I kept taking spoonfuls to see if I was just imagining but it keptblowing me away with awesomeness. Just the right amount of heat, chicken, broth balance, tomatoes. I’m always playing withadding spices to my food but the whole bowl went down without any extra culinary encouragement. Next, Fern brought a huge plateof Pad Thai. And wow, what struck me next after the size and beauty of the portion was just how colorful and extravagant thepresentation was. Most mediocre Thai places serve 2/3 of this amount for a few bucks less, and seem nothing much more thanglorified fettuccine noodles with some tamarind. What Khob Khun brought to my table was nothing less than a loving work of art, probably bet Read more

We orderd vegetarian Pad kee Mao noodles, Green curry and Papaya salad. Everything was fresh and delicious with no smell of fish... or oyster sauce. This is something which is very important for pure vegetarians. Great food in a quiet neighborhood. Read more

Delicious Thai style brunch menu that will blow your socks off. I may never go back to regular American brunch. We got the Thai... congee, Thai omelette, side of hash browns, and Nutella and banana stuffed French toast. The Thai congee was flavorful, withcrisp fresh fried dough and chicken meatballs. The Thai omelette was our close favorite cause it was so savory. The hash brownwas cooked perfectly with a crispy shell. The winner was the French toast. Every part of it was decadent. You must getit. Staff was friendly and attentive. Seems to be a family run business. Definitely worth the trek from Pac Heights! Read more

Loved it loved it loved it. Bite after bite, and I simply cannot stop. I know I’ll be coming back often and I can’t wait to... try more! The food itself is not all perfect, for example the noodle is a little bit too salty and the croissant actually tasteslike Walmart’s (the pandan sauce is very good, I meant the croissant itself)… but with this big portion and budget price andgood service and fast speed, what can you complain? It was my first time having brunch here. There’re not so many places in San Francisco that I would go “Wow” after I visit... and try their food. But I must say Khob Khun really kills it on creating such a yummy and tasty dishes. There’s nothing that Iwould complain about, nothing. The staff is friendly. We will definitely come back for more breakfast here. Now, I know where togo for brunch after my morning run :) See photos if you have been losing your appetite and I am sure they will help bring yourappetite back! Read more

Great food at a very reasonable price! They have standard fare thai options, and almost everyone can be ordered with... tofu/veggies. The dessert options are amazing - the pictured mango sticky rice is one of the best I've had. They also have anexpansive breakfast/brunch menu. Read more
