Someone recommended the restaurant to me when I asked if it was good Chinese food nearby but to be honest I wouldn't have... recommended this place at all the food wasn't nasty but it was plain everything I ordered the prawn fried rice, chicken chowmein, garlic noodles, Wong ton soup and a few veggie egg rolls. and you would think with it costing $59 I was hoping I couldhave said at least one of the items was good. GKT is close to SF City Hall and the SF Public Library, an ideal location for a quick work lunch. Ordering off the lunch menu,... my choice was Kung Pao chicken with white rice. Egg drop soup was included. A glass of water and a Coke completed the meal. Thesoup and entrè were hot, fresh, and tasty. I needed my daily dose of vegetables, and the Kung Pao didn't disappoint. Celery, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, peanuts, and zucchini fixed that. There was plenty of chicken. I couldn't eat it all, but Iwould certainly return if I was ever in the area again. Read more

Dive type restaurant with huge portions and low prices. Chow fun was very good. General Tao Chicken was good. Hot and Sour soup... was bland. Service was not great. Locals speaking Chinese were seated and to go orders were flying out the door - probably twosigns the restaurant is good. I’d rate it 3.5 stars because of the uneven service and average soup. Havent been here since the start of the pandemic and am very glad I came. We ordered our favorite Pork Chop lunch plate and I... tried their General Tsau's chicken. I found another favorite dish here and would always order this next time. A must visit inthis space. I'm glad they were able to weather the difficulty of the pandemic. I highly recommend this place to anyone cravimggood Chinese food. Read more

The façade is a bit uninviting, but this place serves tasty, large plates of food at inexpensive prices. A true hidden gem in... SF! My meal below was only $10.50 Read more

This place is awesome and if I could give them more stars they would have them. The staff are beyond awesome. I believe the... ownets themselves actually serve you. The dishes arrive hot and plentiful My sister and I have always had to get to go boxesand the staff will put the food in them in front of you. They ate friendly and very good at not overwhelming you by alwayschecking on you but they are there when you need them. They have a huge menu and the place inside is very well decorated. Prices are fair and worth every penny. I say go for the food and stay for the company. By the way you can hear the cook(s)cutting and cooking your food. Read more

This place is right across form the passport office. At the passport office, they did not give me my passport. I waited over an... hour to hear some suit that I had to come back another time after I filled out some bs online. This restaurant is the only goodthing that happened to me in this day. The food is so good, I consider today to be a rather good one. 12/10, the staff is nice, foods excellent, screw the passport office Read more
