Unfortunately our experience here tonight was awful. The woman who took our order was rude (when I specified brown rice for my... bowl she curtly said ?no brown rice? without any courtesy), and she got our order wrong. We ordered a short rib bowl and anoriginal koja, but at the pickup area the woman handed us a takeout container that had two koja in it. We were confused butthought maybe a single koja order came with two sandwiches, so we waited a few minutes thinking the employees were still workingon our bowl. They never returned, and at that point we noticed they had put out a sign saying they were closed for 20 minutes,so we decided to just leave. Do not come here! Read more

They were busy and with such great food, I understand, but it also meant prompt service suffered. Worth the wait. Braised pork... taco (as a snack) host the spot. Good value. Well done! Read more

Got an original koja. Flavors were good but MAJORITY of the beef was cartilage, they really cheap out on quality then make you... pay over $10 for cartilage?! The kind of meat that you chew and chew and chew and can?t chew through because it?s all connectivetissue. Nope. Don?t recommend. Read more

I?ve been going to Koja since their first location but I?ve never tried their vegetarian tacos. I gave the Zen tacos a try and... was not disappointed. I opted in for the red sauce instead of the Japanese Mayo ( others that like Mayo feel free to keep it )and from the first bite I knew I?d be coming back to get them again. The plant meat they use it delicious and great texture butdoesn?t taste meaty either which is a good thing for me. Only thing I wish more for were more additions to the tacos than justone greens and sauce option that would enhance the flavor so much more. Read more

If you're not sure what to get, go for the Kamikaze fries. Perfect mixture of savory and a tiny bit of spice.

Tastes ok, but the serving size is tiny! And why a box within a box for dine in? ????

I don't know why I never wrote a review for this place while I was in SF. I was just thinking how much I want a KoJa 'Burger'... right now. I used to go to this place all the time. Read more

The KoJa short rib sandwich was delicious! I was a bit skeptical on garlic rice for buns, but it tasted fantastic. It does... fall apart some, but a fork solves that problem. Read more
