Food is good- one of the more authentic and tasty Thai restaurants in the city. As of late 2022, the prices are very high for... what I would call a casual, no frillls Thai restaurant. $75 for three standard dishes and an appetizer before tip. Because ofthat, I tend to cook my own Thai or seek slightly less expensive places nearby. Read more

Nice place, modern and trendy! The food here is very authentic and fresh. It's the best I've ever had! I'll be there again.

This place is nostalgic for us as it was the first place we went to eat when we landed in SF, after moving from SE Asia. It’s... so important to have good Thai food near you. On that regard Lapat hits close to home. Basil Thai rice is, for me, the mosthomely Thai dish. If you are a fan of Teochew Thai food, the ba mi haeng is like mee kia, the kuay jub is like kway chap, andthe noodle soups are a good mix of everything. The crab roll is like hoi jor. The place is fun and kitschy and open late. Veryglad to have a place like this so near home! Like the other reviewers say it has a lot of dishes that aren’t available atother Thai places. Like the moo dad daew. Also check out their specials. Read more

Great selection of noodle soups that you won't find in other Thai places. I've tried more than half of their noodle soups, some... of them, e.g. chicken mushroom bitter melon, are gonna pleasantly blow your mind. Read more

This is my first time trying “Kao Mun Gai”. It’s really good, especially its sauce and rice like they’re from Thailand!!... I love it. For recommendation, if you’re not a ginger, garlic and black-pepper person you should stay away from this dish????;because this dish contains garlic(in the sauce), black-pepper and ginger(both are in the rice). Actually the black-pepper issupposed be in the soup not in the rice (for people who don’t know). But it gives you a different taste which is good. Read more
