Overpriced and overrated. Typical mediocre SF restaurant. If you want REAL dim-sum, go to the Sunset District, Burlingame, or... even Emeryville to HK Ocean restaurant. Tell me why the total came up to $90 for two people? (Before tip) The plates were sotiny. We ordered the pork shumai, shanghai dumplings, golden lava buns, steamed spare ribs, shrimp dumplings, and lotus leafwith two beers at $10.00 each. Small plates start at $6.50 and the portions were tiny. I'd rate the food a 4/10 compared toother dimsum restaurants in the Bay Area and a 2/10 compared to dimsum restaurants in Hong Kong. They didn't have dimsum cartsfor weekend brunch, which is another miss. One positive note is that the interior of this restaurant was clean. They are... happy to help you if you not sure of choice Food is delicious and takes you on a journey to Far East. Each dish is better thanthe other. Sooo wanted to love this place! First we have to say the service is 5 stars- exceptional!!! Unfortunately, the food was just... alright. We came for the spicy, but left bland. Would not return, but clearly the locals love it, so maybe it's us. Read more
This was one of my favorite meals when we visited San Francisco. We got there right when it opened, everything we had was... delicious. The fried tofu was amazing with a little spice to it and the tofu was soft and silky and the soup (Shanghai)dumplings were delicious. Pork Chow Mein was great, the noodles were amazing.
