The service was awesome from the first hello at Valet to the goodbye from the host. When coming into the restaurant, it was... like waking into an art deco space. Our table, like others were dressed in black linens with an albacore shell surrounded bysilver utensils and a beautiful hand blown water glass. They stole my heart after our glasses were filled with water and Iasked for a straw, they brought a hand blown glass straw instead of a paper or bamboo straw. The sommelier put on a beautifulpresentation when pouring our opening glass of champagne. Our waiter was well versed with all of the dishes. We enjoyed all 4course of our meal. Considering the high quality of food, drinks and service it was well worth the cost. I cannot wait to goback! Read more

I would hands down recommend this restaurant. We had the best time celebrating our anniversary here. Everything was outstanding,... from the service to the food and the ambiance. Some dishes I would like to highlight would be the tuna carpaccio and the ribeye, they were delicious. I would also really recommend the wine pairing, the whole wine selection was amazing. Shoutout totheir master sommelier Jeremiah, he was amazing. Thank you everyone for making our night so special. We can’t wait to comeback and recommend to friends. Read more

I ate in the gallery, which has a nice vibe and fewer people than the dedicated dining space. Most dishes are $20-30. The bone... marrow is absolutely stellar. Cocktails are pretty solid, with a big emphasis on absinthe, which I'm not a huge fan of buttwhat're you gonna do? Read more

Pretty disappointing experience given the reviews where some people said it's Michelin star worthy.. The waiter seemed new or... less experienced about the menu because he didn't recommend that many dishes, just said what was popular. He was nice but notvery present after receiving our food. Also he said to order everything at once for better pacing. The entrees took about 15-20minutes to come out so I don't think the pacing is accurate. He also said to order 3-4 bites/appetizers for 2 people.. 2 wasdefinitely enough and the entrees are pretty big. I appreciated the sommelier who served a drink that wasn't wine and thegentleman that brought our food. After entrees it took another 15 minutes to be asked about dessert.. He didn't even bring themenu so we passed. He also said something was coming but it was 2 small sugary candies, nothing for the boyfriend's birthdaythough I was told he would get an eclair. I guess telling them in advance and marking on OpenTable it's a birthday doesn'tmatter and the waiter didn't ask if we were celebrating anything. I understand this may be asking a lot but for this calibur ofrestaurant, it should be better. About the food.. the oven fired oysters were just lukewarm. The waiter said that was to meltthe compound butter but we didn't experience low temperature of oven oysters at places like Hog Island. Flavor was greatotherwise. The polenta was delicious and our favorite. Very flavorful and a great portion size. The duck and pork andouilleentree was okay. It didn't look like a dish for the calibur of the restaurant or what they are trying to be. The halibut hadgreat flavors but it was too dry. Pretty sad. Wouldn't come back nor recommend for a birthday/dinner. The bar inside was verybustling so maybe you should check that out instead if you're inclined. Appetizers are around $15-20, entrees $30~each.Cocktails $15~. Corkage is $40.. Not worth it. Read more

Creative dishes that are very well-prepared and beautifully plated. Palette brings a nice touch of class and fun to SOMA in San... Francisco. The duck confit tacos were savory and paired nicely with the mole and pickled vegetables. The miso cod was sadlyonly so-so. However, the beef tartare was wonderful and the beets complemented the flavors really well. The buttermilk friedchicken bites were good though the salmon roe on top didn't quite work for me. The cocktails here are inventive though theblack cap mushroom cocktail with Bourbon was a bit too medicinal for me. The service here is top notch and a solid five stars. Read more

Really wonderful and kind staff, good food and drinks. I’m not a huge fan of rosé but the Caraccioli Cellars 2014 Brut Rosé... was the best I’ve ever had. When I got home to New York I asked the local wine shop to order it because I couldn’t stopthinking about it. The buttermilk fried chicken bites were awesome and moist, but I didn’t like the salmon roe with it(whichis easily avoidable), just not my personal flavor combination. The duck confit tacos were tasty and an innovative and fun way toeat duck confit. Overall we had a really nice time and we’ll definitely be back! If you’re thinking about dining here, doit! And tip your server 20%+! As a server myself I just want to say this job can be incredibly difficult(and rewarding), andrestaurants have really suffered due to Covid, so let’s do what we can to support them and their staff!
