Our party of five slipped into Roma Antica's curbside dining area shortly after 6pm on a Friday with no wait - we just beat the... crowds! Others filled in quickly and were greeted by our same boisterous and impassioned waiter. The ambiance outside became abit chaotic at times with so many passerbys but was cute and cozy under the heat lamps. The food was incredible - onecompanion's "best lasagna ever" and my personal "best pizza ever" with the prosciutto pizza. Will definitely go back. Read more

We went in thinking it was authentic Italian place but it didn?t meet our expectations. The food took forever to come. Gnocchi... was so so mild and did not have taste or even hint of basil and pine nuts. Pizza crust was so thick? We ended up thinkingdessert would be worth it but they gave tiramisu in plastic cup with so much of mascarpone on top? There were no layers or coffee flavors. The ambiance was not authentic either? fake plants on table were just occupying more space on already smalltable. Our server kept looking at our table multiple times and didn?t bring our order in time. It was just all belowexpectations as per the price we paid. Won?t come back again. Read more

Best Italian food I?ve had so far, especially in SF! Went for dinner with a group, we were seated quickly and the host was very... nice. The staff is very enthusiastic and attentive. Food is moderately priced, especially for location and quality. Table breadwas soft and pillowy, and the the actual meals were so delicious, perfect portions! Top spot for SF in my eyes :) Also the guywith the giant pepper shaker was hilarious ???? Read more

A very fun spot with great music, food and service. We went on a Saturday night looking for some good Italian food. This... establishment did not disappoint with delicious veal and an incredible ox tail pasta with pappardelle noodles. Read more

Best Italian food I?ve had in SF in a while (I also haven?t lived in the Bay in a while). Carbonara was fantastic. Roman pizza... was better than the one I had in Rome. Will be back! Read more

Went with a friend who recommended Roma Antica she said they made fresh pasta and I was sold. I had never had fresh pasta before... so I was really excited to try it out. The pasta was DELICIOUS. I finished my plate in the one sitting which is rare for me todo at restaurants because I always seem to either get full or have some stomach issues such as bloating and stomach pain, butnot this time. It?s a testament to the quality of the food. It?s authentic Roman cuisine. I had the pasta with black pepper andI?ve seen chefs make it on tv, but didn?t think I would actually have a chance to try it fresh, it was genuinely one of the bestdishes I?ve ever had. Come to think of it I probably should have asked to thank and see the chef, next time! Whoever you are Ilove you!!! The pasta was divine! I also ordered the beet salad because I love beets and they were great too. We were alsogiven complimentary bread but we finished it before we could take a picture. They refilled the basket three times but we ate itall (this was for four people) it was that good. Read more

Fabulous authentic Italian restaurant in the Marina!!! Cozy stylish interior with twice as much outdoor seating, underneath the... most solidly constructed roof covering I've seen, with heat lamps and blankets to keep guests warm. All the food was fantasticand baked from scratch in house, with lots of salads, pastas, pizzas, and desserts to choose from. Even the bread they bring youto start was some of the most delicious I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and super attentive to our every need. Theplace was packed and there was a long line, but there are lots of tables so the wait wasn't too bad and they have a great textsystem that lets you track your place in line, so you can walk around the Marina or to the water while you wait. And the priceswere reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! I'll absolutely be going back andwill bring my dad, who's from Italy, as I know he'll love it. Read more
