Really good California inspired Italian cuisine in Russian Hill. How does this place not have a Michelin star is beyond me. The... food is fantastic and the service was top notch. The pate was probably the best version of that dish in the city. Rich, flavorful, magical. The squid ink pasta sauce was life changing. The meatball is also a formidable challenger for best of night. And then a really good panna cotta. The service was prompt and friendly. A definite must try. Dos thumbs up ???????? Read more

Talk about being literally seduced by a restaurant! We absolutely love Seven Hills! Every course is as delightful and delicious... as the next. Although we have our favorites, each night the chef (and crew) execute menu additions with precision, care anddeliciousness all tied together with a staff that truly (and openly) enjoys their own experience of being a part of a greatcustomer experience. Thank you everyone at Seven Hills for making our Sunday evening so very special. Ciao for now! Read more

My sister lives on Hyde St and raves about Seven Hills, so it was no surprise when she said we should go for dinner for my last... night on my visit. My recommendation is to head to the restaurant early & put your name in for a bar seat, or, even better —the best seats in the restaurant by the front window, and then go grab a glass of wine up the street at Union Larder while youwait for availability. I highly recommend the gem salad, the dressing was delicious. The Maccheroncelli was delicious and amust order. The only disappointment was the focaccia bread — which was very crunchy, and I prefer soft chewy fresh warmfocaccia. Read more

Decadent, delicious and delightful. Giving it a slight edge over Penny Roma for the best pasta in SF title. The truffle... tortellini was the star but the agnolotti and breads were just as good. Fantastic service too. Perfect for date night; cozy spotin a great part of time. Parking can be challenging but the restaurant experience makes up for it. Read more

Such a wonderful neighborhood gem with the BEST pastas! We loved everything we tried but the pasta dishes were a definite... must-try. We had the corn agnolotti, the duck ragu papardelle, and the maccheroncelli with tomato sauce, which were all burstingwith flavor. Also amazing were the tomato panzanella and early girl tomato bisque, which really stood out (it is tomato seasonafter all). Overall, great experience and we’ll definitely be back - maybe to sit indoors though, as the outdoor seating wasnot very comfortable and quite chilly! Read more

Delectable restaurant. Airy focaccia with fresh olive oil. The sea bass was very memorable: fresh, masterfully cooked, thin... crispy skin with great umami, and flavorful, tender meat. The lemon and dill aioli was quite strong for me; the fish was goodenough to stand alone. Both pastas were good and satisfying with well-balanced flavors. I'd be interested to try more innovativeor exploratory menus next time! Read more

My wife and her sister swear by this place, and I finally got a chance to try it. I see why they always bring it up! Every part... of our visit was so good! The service was great and you could feel the passion. For starters, we ordered the House MadeFocaccia, the Little Gem Salad and a truffle Raviolo. For mains, we ordered the Maccheroncelli, the Tagliatelle and theAgnolotti. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Budino and the Panna Cotta. Honestly, everything was very good. The pastaswere cooked perfectly and the flavors, delicious. The Little Gem salad was also awesome. Finally, the desserts were both thebest! Read more

I had a late night reservation and I'm glad I kept it. The pasta was cooked perfectly! The meatball was phenomenal and I loved... the garlic bread. My girlfriend and I talk about our dinner here frequently. It left such a positive impression on us. Read more
